This hairdryer is an absolute bargain - and no way near as pricey as some hairdryers can be.
It is of average size and is easy on the arm which is great if you have thick hair like me which takes a while ... ...from the fact that it comes with a “pik” attachment which effectively acts as an afro comb. It is made of plastic and is pretty strong. It makes drying my hair so much quicker and easier. I can comb and dry in one action. The combing action straightens my hair as the "pik" pulls the hair taut. As the hot air is channelled down the hair shafts, there is less frizzing. Always a bonus!

Although my hair is not left bone straight it does mean that my hair straightners have less work to do afterwards. Being conscious of the damaging effects of heat styling I’m all for that!
The lightweight Powerpik has three heat/ speed settings. The “pik” attachment is not to be used on the hottest setting. I guess this is to avoid melting! There is also a cool shot. The cord is also long enough for me to plug it in on the landing and stand in the bathroom to use the mirror.
Replacement Piks are also available from hair product suppliers. I had to source one when one of the prongs snapped on the comb.
Overall I am impressed with this item as my hair is not easy to manage at the best of times and the Powerpik saves me a lot of time and effort. I would thoroughly recommend this product to those with afro hair or tresses which are difficult to manage.
