I've no idea who the guy is on the front of the picture of the box and had no idea that it was endorsed by this james man because ours came without a box. And the best part was it only cost a fiver - you've really got to love garage sales. My friend was only over here for a one year study abroad course and laid evrything out from her house on a table and sold everything off really cheap. I snatched this up as you always need coffee especially when ... ...are needed to get stuff done.
Being a fellow caffiene abuser Sarah had used this machine quite alot in the 1 yearperiod since purchasing it, i've had it for about 6 months now and have had fair use out of it.
It's a silver standing coffee maker which is a stunning silver colour with switches on the front. the slide in and out filter is easy to use, clean and replace. I didn't get an instruction manual with it, i'm guessing ... more
I've no idea who the guy is on the front of the picture of the box and had no idea that it was endorsed by this james man because ours came without a box. And the best part was it only cost a fiver - you've really got to love garage sales. My friend was only over here for a one year study abroad course and laid evrything out from her house on a table and sold everything off really cheap. I snatched this up as you always need coffee especially when an esay/ project/ disseratation is due and a few allnighters are needed to get stuff done.
I didn't get an instruction manual with it, i'm guessing it was thrown out by it's previous owner as Americans don't tend to like instructions! it is more than likely it was binned.
Coffee granules can be added at the top and flip twist lid down to fasten. Add water and select setting. It's very easy to use and only takes 10mins for a brew to be ready. Once done a touch button allows you to dispense aromatic, steamy hot coffee to the required amount to fill your cup or mug and release to stop flow. The volume amount is good too. One brew can get you about 10 to 12 cups of good tasting piping hot java.
Overall 5 stars of rating - i was really impressed with it being cheap and also second hand i didn't know how well, if at all it would work. I didn't think of it at the time but i really should have asked for a manual but the cleaning and use proved impressively easy. Despite not knowing the man who made this i'd still recommened it and possibly be open to his other gadgets, that is of course if they too were a £5r. Overall very good coffee make that doesn't take too much space on the old kitchen work surface and makes a decent amout = 12 cups. Downsides only being the absence of a pressure system and a froth spout. If these are features you require i would look at cappucino makers or deluxe coffee brewers but i've a feeling these would be more pricey. Thank you again for reading my review. I'm going to go enjoy a cup now, of tea that is, couldn't possibly manage 12 cups all to myself. lol.Wishing you all the best, mintz x
