Wahl ZX595 James Martin Coffee Grinder: brill kitchen addition

Advantages Durable, affordable, easy to use.
Disadvantages There may be more durable products in a higher price range, but who cares?
I bought this grinder last year (after accidentally buying coffee beans instead of ground coffee), and it's been one of the best things I've bought for the kitchen! The taste of freshly ground coffee is so much nicer, and feels like a real treat.
It's small but solid. Even though it's not a high-end product, I have a feeling it'll be in my kitchen for a long time. It seems really robust and tidies away easily, thanks to the cord wrap underneath. It's really versatile, as the user has total control over how fine or coarse the beans are ground. This means that if you have a caffetiere, an espresso machine or a regular coffee machine (or perhaps all of the above?) you'll only need one grinder. If you require more than one, you're either doing it wrong or you drink waaaay too much coffee.....
It doesn't take long to use, as even finely ground beans only require about 10-12 short bursts. I like to think that this makes it eco-friendly.Finally, there's no chance that you might have a messy kitchen disaster with ground coffee flying everywhere, as it will not switch on if the lid isn't secure. Trust me, I've tested this. Accidentally.
Usually I shy away from celebrity-endorsed products, partly out of principle and partly when the product doesn't really fit in with the chosen celebrity's area of expertise (if there is one at all), but to be honest in this case it really doesn't bother me. This particular celebrity appears to be very careful when representing a brand, and I've heard good things about other ranges he endorses.
