If you are used to bright lights and lots of cinema screens, don't go to Aber. If you like living within spitting distance of library, lecture halls, pubs and supermarket go to Aber. As a town it doesn't many facilities but if you need it you can usually find it. The University has a good reputation, especially in Geography. The Union varies from year to year, don't expect top name bands though. Beer is cheap. It is small and friendly but not tiny and inescapable. I stayed here for three years and had the best time. The town and surrounding area is very scenic, and there's not many places you can study on the beach. Personally I don't need more than one cinema screen as I've only got two eyes.
