Walkers Fish and Chip flavour crisps are just plain wrong!
Advantages None
Disadvantages The taste, the smell!!
Walkers are shooting themselves in the foot in one of the worst advertising ploys ever, I've so far tried the Hoi Sin and Duck (ok), builders breakfast (just about edible) and Chilli and chocolate (amongst the worst thing I've ever tasted) now I've tried the fish and chips and well they are nicer than the chilli and chocolate but the smell is really unpleasant.
With most varieties of crisps you open the pack and a lovely waft of crisp flavour hits your nose and entices you to eat the crisps but these crisps had a horrid sweaty oily chip shop smell with a hint of mushy peas. Well I thought perhaps the taste is better than the smell but oh dear what a let down, the crisps have a horrid greasy after taste and have a lingering feeling of standing too long in a rancid fish and chip shop last thing at night at the foot of the pier out of season. I've realised that a chippy only smells nice when your hungry, if your not then the smell of greasy fish and mushy peas is slightly nauceous. The crisps have as far as I can see, nothing to say please eat me, and please buy the product again I do vaguely recall a fish and chip flavour crisps made by someone in the mid-eighties and remember them as being equally disgusting, maybe Walkers should have kept that in mind before inflicting this flavour on the British public.
