ProDeliciously cheesy, a nice light snack

ConsToo much and it's not so much of a light snack!, n...

Quavers - made by major snack food gurus and Gary Lineker loving giants Walkers, is just one of their many popular brands of crisps that they have had launched. According to the Walkers website, Quavers is their best selling snack that the company has to offer, and has been a firm favourite for...

“As light as a feather.”

published 05/06/2003

ProTasty, cheap and low in fat and calories.

ConsNot very filling and smell like cheesy feet.

Now before anyone asks, the title does not refer to me - by God, I would be a really big feather. No, it refers to something my daughter was eating today. As I sat there like a starving dog pleading with her to give me one, she moved the bag further and further away. After much bribery she parted...

“They send me all of a quiver”

ProLight tasty quick snack

ConsSmall packs and broken contents

I buy a variety of crisps to be included in my hubbies pack lunch, and to be devoured by my two children if they get the chance. Amongst the most popular are Walkers Quavers cheese flavour. They seem to have been going for years and years but I don’t think they have changed at all and obviously...

ProTasty, Not like normal crisps

ConsYou tend to want more than one, one isn't filling ...

“Light Potato Snacks”. That’s how Quavers are described as on their packet, and that’s how Walkers aim to sell them. So, are the ‘light potato snacks’ worth trying, or are they too ‘light’ and just plain old boring? Well, I’d have to say no...

“Ciao and a packet of Quavers”

published 09/09/2002

ProTaste great, low in fat, not too many calories!

ConsMoreish!!

I have just given in to temptation and munched my way through a bag of Walkers Quavers in cheese flavour whilst reading and rating a few opinions. I realised that, although I love the taste of these wonderful, crunchy, crispy things, I have never written an opinion about them. I must make amends...

ProLovely flavour, light and crispy

ConsNone, they're lovely

These crisps are definitely one of my favourites. I love them to death!! The crisps come in a bright yellow foil packet, with green writing on the front. The Walkers logo is shown above the name, in it’s usual red colour. On the back of the packet, there are the nutritional values, in a box...

“How can they get it so wrong”

published 19/01/2003

ProGood for dieting

Constoo cheezy

Its that time of year again where diets seem to be at the forefront of everyone’s concern. The best “Crisp” or snack that seems to be on all dieting lists (whether you love them or loathe them) is the humble “Quaver” by “Walkers” --- Packaging--- As with...

Prochoke safe and light

Consrather pongy!

I must extend a heartfelt public apology to my room-mate this morning. Purely in the name of research I am subjecting him, and me to the awful stench that is emitted from a rather garish yellow packet of snack food known to the world as Walkers Quavers. Right, now that I have got the apology out...

“The Nicolas Cage of crisps”

published 17/05/2002

ProI like them

ConsThey aren't very filling

The name's Walker. Henry Walker licenced to.. kill (sell crisps). The mission began back in 1948 after rationing made potato crips a popular idea. Forget Gary Lineker, I am the man. It is estimated that eleven million people will eat a Walkers product every day. Glancing at the website (www...

ProYummy Yummy for my tummy

ConsNot very filling

What would life be like without crisps ? Well, for one it would be dull and depressing although I guess I would be a lot slimmer! Today I will be reviewing Walkers Quavers (Cheese Flavour) not just because Quavers are one of Walkers best selling snacks and have been going for over 30 years but...

ProI love the taste, pretty cheap if brought as part ...

ConsCheese dust goes everywhere

I purchased a 6 bag multipack of Quavers from my local Poundland, for - you've guessed it, £1! The crisps are packaged in a foil bag (for freshness apparently!) that states "multipack bag not to be sold seperately" and contains 87 calories, 4.6g of fat & 0.4g of salt, however, the packet does not...

Initially, I'd like to point out that this is review has also been posted by me on dooyoo under the same name. No more than an hour after I had posted it on dooyoo, I was informed by a fellow ciao/dooyoo member that my exact review (word for word) had been plagiarised and copied on here by...

ProVery light, they melt nicely in the mouth

ConsThere aren't enough in a bag to fill an adult up

The humble Quaver. Snack of my childhood. Not my all-time favourite crisp (they would come off worst if I had a choice between Quavers and Walker's Smoky Bacon) but I have always thought of them as a decent snack. I do recall, way back in the early years of my childhood in the late 1980s, that it...

ProDo taste cheesy and are under 100 calories a pack.

ConsDon't have much nutritional value.

WALKERS QUAVERS I haven't bought these for ages and when I have it is usually my children who eat them. However, when I was at the footie match last Saturday, I noticed my daughter had only packed these to eat, so I decided beggars can't be choosers... ~~~What are they like?~~~ The cheapest...

ProYummy and low calories!

Consneed a few packs to fill satisfied as very moreish...

My daughter is 4 years old, and of course in between meals she likes to help herself into the cupboard and look for yummy snacks she can pick at whilst she plays with her toys. Quavers are a lovely little snack we like to always have on standby at home as I honestly never tire of eating them...
