Includes 50 walks through Tuscany, Umbria and Latium, ranging from brief strolls to a ... more
five-day trek (the Chianti Trail). This work also includes the wild Chianti ridge, city walks through Perugia, Orvieto and Volterra, and day walks on the beautiful island of Elba and along the unspoilt coast around Orbetello.
Advantages: Had our monies worth from it Disadvantages: only 2 Tunes
Fisher PriceWalk and Ride Lion.....
Before Jack could even stand I was buying up toys such as this to help him on his way to be a little walker. I am not sure but perhaps this is the reason he was walking at around 10 months. He loves this toy and I would say it is one of his favourite ones.
The Fisher PriceWalk and Ride Lion cost me around £20 when it was on offer at Amazon a good while back now. I know this lion retails for a lot more in Argos and such places but it is worth looking around for a good special offer as they do seem to come up quite often. At the moment it is selling on Amazon for £28.
Basically the lion is a large plastic toy which has a couple of different tunes played either when his nose is pushed in or when the lion is moved forward. These tunes are not bad really although can get slightly annoying ...
Advantages: A superb introduction to the Emerald Isle's walking possibilities... Disadvantages: ...so long as you've been previously introduced to walking in the first place
. The internet can provide this of course, but there's still something reassuring about the literally printed word: democracy means that any old idiot can write something on the World Wide Web, but you'd hope that your average publisher would be a little more selective. So, a guidebook then.

Advantages: Fantastic service, well looked after, prompt and efficient staff Disadvantages: Had to wait for a bit, but not as long as I was expecting!
A&E fills me with dread. I do kind of work with the it's not an emergency, it can wait, and therefore I'm going to be stuck there for hours to be potentially told to rest it and it'll be fine, which is frustrating, for me and the staff I imagine! I've also been on the other side and rushed in as an emergency on more than a few occasions, so I really do think it's right that I'd have to wait whilst priority cases are sorted out, and I don't want to be wasting anyone's time! On the other hand I know going to my GP will result in me being told to go to A&E to get it checked, so don't really see the point in that either!
Then a friend suggests I go down to the "Minor Injuries Walkin Centre" at the other local hospital. (St. Mary's in Portsmouth) For some reason, I'd not even thought about it, but it was definitely the best option ...
