Original Vienetta, in my opinion is the best of the range, but you can also buy it in Mint, biscuit, lemon, and chocolate flavours.

We don't buy it very often in our house because it doesn't last very long. My daughter definately doesn't get a look in. It's too good to waste on kids. I have to buy her her own ice cream when I get Vienetta.
This makes it work out quite expensive. The Vienetta itself ranges from £1.20 (Asda) to about £1.99 approx (Safeways). This on it's own is a very good price for ice cream, but then I have to buy for my daughter as well. (I know I am a cruel mum).
Other flavours are slightly more expensive than Original, for reasons I don't know. I would choose it over the rest any day.
If you are an ice cream addict then buy it, you will not be disapointed.
Thanks for reading. It was a bit strange writing about ice cream. There is only so much you can say, except it's yummy, yummy, yummy. Oops, I said that already didn't I?

In this case I am referring to Walls Viennetta, a very glamourous looking ice cream dessert which isn't too pricey (but you may have to shop around).
There are a few varieties available now - chocolate, strawberry, biscuit and orange among them - but for me the best is still their Original variety. For once this is one of the few food products which ... ...on the packaging! ("It does exactly what it says on the box!") The pale blue cardboard box shows us a tempting rippled log consisting of white vanilla ice cream with wafer thin dark chocolate layers throughout and that is exactly what you get! A hefty, beautifully constructed white and brown "sandwich" decorated with impressive swirls and ripples. No squashed, discoloured shrivelled offerings here.

In my house having a Viennetta for dessert has always been a treat!! We have it very rarely; it is just bought when on offer. This week I bought it form Asda on offer 2 for £2!! Bargain. It can serve up to 6 people depending on the portion size.
I would describe it as an all year round (Christmas) log!!! It slices easily, and I in many layers of ice cream rippled then not rippled and chocolate!! I love it! I think it is posh, if you know what I ... ...3 flavours chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Since writting the op I have been informed of other flavours there are avaliable mint, lemon (has white chocolate), a fruity one and a Cappucino one!!

Me and Vienettas are a source of amusement to my entire family. But first, the important stuff.
Price......around £1.69 depending where you shop, live ect.
Size........320g
What is it?.........layers of thin chocolate alternated with layers of soft creamy vanilla ice cream.
It is found in the freezer (duh!) in a rectangular box with the walls brand name, and a picture of the contents of the box. Inside the box it is then in a white plastic wrapper. ... ...so it is easily taken out of the packaging without collapsing.
When it is cut into slices there is a nice crunch as the layers of chocolate break. The Ice cream and chocolate are in very thin layers and some layers of the ice cream is in decorative little swirls which can be seen along the sides. A very pretty dessert. The chocolate is dark, but not overly bitter like some dark chocolate, the vanilla ice cream is very pale in colour almost white ...

its ice cream therefore it is the best thing in the world ever ! LOL
The original Viennetta is by far the best out of all of them. Some come close but theyll never top this.
It is creamy original ice cream, with a chocolate thin layer in the middle and vertically, with another layer on the top, with sprinkles everywhere. Its formed in ripples, so that makes it easier to serve, but its always an odd number of ripples, so someone ends up getting ... ...to lick the tray!
The only problem with them is they dont last. Once you defreeze one, although you may only want one slice or 2, the rest quickly thaws out, so its wise to have it when you are either prepared to eat the whole thing, or you dont mind refreezing it with a loss of shape.
Its clean to serve, and slice, and the taste of the ice cream is lovely although the chocolate is artificial tasting, it still complements it overall.
