Advantages: Great taste, easy to cook, good price Disadvantages: High in calories but then they are sausages!
Wall's thicksausages are available in the chiller section in Asda stores and cost £1.82 at present.
The sausages are provided in a thick plastic wrapping and the top had to be cut open to reach the sausages, these are then in strings of two so it's nice to easy to just take out what you want and then pop the rest either in the fridge or in the freezer in a freezer bag.
Wall's sausages can be cooked on the BBQ, in the oven, under the grill or on the hob. The sausages I ate were cooking under the grill and I'd recommend cooking them on a grill rack (as my other half did) as it helps all the fat to drain out of the sausages whilst cooking and be kept in the bottom of the rack ready for easy disposal. These tasted very nice and were brown all the way around, there was no pink flesh in the middle and the sausages were cooked well. I ...
Advantages: better than microwaveable. they are sausages. Disadvantages: fatty and greasy. not as good as local produce.
OVERVIEW
They may not be as good as farm fresh, but you can't really fault the standard British banger. Cooked in the oven, grilled or in the frying pan, there's certainly no comparison between this and the microwaveable alternative. The extra time they take to cook is definately worth it if you prefer your sausages to taste like sausages rather than cardboard.

In comparison to other branded sausages that retail for roughly the same price I feel that they are greasier and are of a lesser quality and taste. On top of this, no brand, supermarket or otherwise, can realistically compete with the sausages from your local butcher or farm store in terms of both taste and overall quality ...
Advantages: great price, good sausages, easy to cook. Disadvantages: High in fat & non-recyclable packaging.
I love to make a Sunday roast or simple sausage and mash and because I am currently unemployed I am on a tight budget so I thought at 48p that I ought to give these a try instead of my usual branded product & I threw them in to my basket on a recent visit to Sainsburys.
The packaging is very basic and cannot be recycled, it is quite a stiff plastic wrapping and I needed to use scissors to cut through it as both ends were very well sealed. Once opened I was met with 8 sausages which are a light pink colour, almost a little grey, and these are all pretty similar in size.
I actually used my sausages without the skins on them and mixed with sage & onion stuffing as an accompaniment to my roast dinner. I cut off the top and then I pulled out the sausage meat and mixed it with the stuffing that I had already prepared. I then flattened it ...
