HOW DO YOU EAT IT!!!! Well isnt this an interesting topic..YES it really is. Its like a cadbury's cream egg. how do YOU eat it? Well incase your wondering, you can lick out the ice cream first and then have just the ice lolly part OR you could try pulling out the gree spiral then the ice cream then the red ice lolly part ( its really hard and messy and ive never really done it right) Or you could be normal and just eat it ( it is the quickest way)
HEALTHY???? WHO CARES ITS SOOO GOOD! So what makes up such a delicious ice lolly treat. Energy 83 -4% Sugar 12.4g -14% Fat 1.8g - 3% Saturates 1.5g - 8% Salt Trace of an adult's guildeline daily amount, oh come on you can treat yourself every now and again....or every day...or at least every day it shows any sign that it might get hot. Oh and get this NO artificial colours or flavours, oh yes thats a good point right , a nice reason to choose it over other inferior lolly's.
THE FLAVOUR What could possible taste so nice then. You'd be amazed, how does it taste so nice who knows. Theres the nice red strawberry part, and the twirly green lime/lemon part, and then if thats not enough pineapple ice cream, oh soo fruit , oh so nice. It kinda smells nice as well :) ( not that i go around smelling ice creams at all....)
THE TEXTURE There is no ice lolly like it. The ice cream is oh soo smooth and creamy. But the best bit is the ice pop part. Its soft ice!!! yes soft and melty in your mouth , just right. Smooth, cold, refreshing, and soooo addictive. When you finish one you know you'll get another, another day.
THE WRAPPER YEEELLLOOOOWWWW!!! nice bright summery and attractive, but dont let it make u think its only for summer, they are just as nice in winter too, by the fire, when its snowing outside. Anyhow yes the wrapping ( getting distracted) Bright , but dont worry its not just for kids. Twister is written in funky writing on the wrapper and of course it has the walls logo. MOST IMPORTANTLY ITS EASY TO OPEN. How annoyoying is it when u NEED to eat something and just cant get into it .
SO ABOUT THE ALMIGHT TWISTER Its in the kids section for walls. This year (2007) is its 25th birthday. Unfortunately they scraped the whole joke on the lollypop stick idea but hey you cant have it all. Erm yeah well thats it really its all about the actual eating of the lolly really.
PRODUCT COST AND AVAILABILITY Well you can get a twister in almost any newsagent and sometimes in the supermarkets if they sell individual ice creams.Dont forget good old ice cream vans, so when you hear that familiar music coming round the corner RUN OUT and go get a twister. It costs about 70-80p which can i add is very very good. Perfect when you have a little spare change in your pocket and are wondering what snack to get. There are also mini twisters that come in packs of 8. I have seen these in both co-op and tesco. They come in two flavours , the origional ( the best) and pineapple ice cream and strawberry fruit ice twisted around lemon fruit ice. Just because they are smaller doesnt mean they arent as good. They are just as delicious. They cost on average about £1.79 for the 8 pack.
OVERALL in my opinion this is THE BEST icecream/icelolly EVER. It is soo tasty, and perfect on a hot day. Walls is clearly pure genius. This is the ice lolly i choose over everything.
Advantages: Fun filled fruit refreshment. Disadvantages: There just arn't enough beautiful days on which to enjoy them.....
...sold hand-held ice on the Wall's website following Magum Classic, Magum White, Callippo orange and Cornetto strawberry. When combined with the Walls Calippo together these two items make up nearly half of all kids products sold at Walls, which is pretty impressive. According to the Wall's website the tropical fruit flavour of the Twister, was inspired by a schoolgirl's visit to the Gloucester factory courtesy of the BBC programme 'Jim'll fix it'. ... ...************************
According to the Wall's website there are NO artificial colours or flavours contained in Twisters which is excellent and makes them much more suitable for children. Additionally they only contain 58 calories per stick which is another bonus and means that they aren't too much of a sin like many similar products and they arn't too terrible for the teeth. **********************

...lime green packet with the Wall's logo, and the word 'Twister' steched out across the front in bold white letters, leaping out, with a twister swirl underneath it. This cooling effect makes the summer treat appear even more appealing and attractive! Twisters can also be purchased in shops in packs, either normal size, or mini snack sizes, and come in a variety of other flavours, giving you even more choice! ***** So eaten in moderation, the Twister ...

Advantages: It`s ice cream and ice lolly together!! Disadvantages: Addictive!
I am never sure on a sunny day relaxing in the sun whether I want ice cream or a fruity ice lolly, thankfully with Wall`s twister`s I can have both. The twister is an ice lolly with delicious Wall`s ice cream spiralled round the outside of it. The red coloured centre of the lolly is strawberry ice this has a lemon and lime flavoured ice strip spiralled round it along with a pineapple flavour Wall`s ice cream strip making for a delicious fruity ice ... ...back in 1982 and has been a favourite with many ever since me included. I used to be a huge fan of the wall`s Callippo but as I say I can never choose between ice lollies and ice cream so the Twister gives me everything a Callippo could but with the addition of delicious ice cream.
A twister can be easily spotted in the freezer of your local store with its bright yellow packaging and the word Twister written in large bright white lettering. When ...

Advantages: Cool, fruity yummyness Disadvantages: Lots of sugar
Due to the unexpected hot weather (yes, even in Manchester where it perpetually rains!) I decided to pop out of the office and buy something to cool me down.
In the corner shop I peered into the freezer cabinet and tried to decide what I fancied - chocolate covered ice cream just didn't seem thirst quenching enough, I wanted an ice lolly. Tucked away at the side of the freezer was a small box containing Walls Twisters which were described as Pineapple ... ...And costing only 65p - Bargain!
***What does it look like***
The wrapper is bright yellow with cartoons of the ice lolly and twister written in white outlined in red, green and yellow. On the back there is a list of the ingredients in both English and Spanish and a table of nutritional information (again in both English and Spanish). The label tells me it contains real fruit juice (unfortunately from concentrate) and spinach extract, not something ...

Advantages: A miniature version of the original classic. Disadvantages: None!!!
me that they are "pineapple ice-cream with strawberry fruit ice and lemon fruit ice with a lemon and lime flavour".
~~~~~~ THE TASTE ~~~~~~
The taste is delicious, creamy and soft, with the fruit flavours bursting through. The one flavour that I cannot recognise though, even though I have read that it is one of the main flavours is the pineapple, I can only assume the reason for that is that it is a subtle flavour, adding a background depth to the lolly.
~~~~~~ NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ~~~~~~
Again, as with most of the Walls variety ice's now, these are free from artificial colours and flavours, which is always a bonus!
Each mini twister contains - 46 calories
6.9g of sugar
1g of fat of which saturates 0.9g
That makes these 1 ...
Advantages: low calorie Disadvantages: none for me
Seing as it is such a sunny day, I thought I would review this while sitting in my garden in the sunshine after eating one of these. Perfect Ice Cream weather today.
I'm still on my diet. I've lost 1 stone and 9lb so far, and I kind of miss the spontanious treats that you would grab on said sunny day. Diet foodhas come a long way in the last few years, so I can still enjoy thing like this.
You buy these in a box of 8, and I paid £1.99 for them. Asda is selling 2 for £3 on a large variety of Ice Cream, so a little saving to be had. These are made by Walls. You get these in full sized Ice Cream lollies as well, but I think it is just the fruit flavoured ones in the full size, as I had the Chocolate one - yummy.
Yes, the Ice Cream is relatively small, but they only have 40 calories per Ice Cream, so I wasn't expecting something ...
Advantages: Kids love them, low calorie Disadvantages: Strawberry - *yuk,yuk*, flavour is too milky
and plenty of hearts and flowers - my 4 year old daughter loved it!
The back of the wrapper shows masses of writing! You're told the ingredients in no less than 13 different languages, and a quick scan of the list tells me these lollies are generally made from skimmed milk (so my diet won't be going out of the window) and include 8% real strawberries. Each Mini Milk contains 35 calories and 0.9g fat, which is great compared to WallsTwister which weighs in at 90 cals and 10.8g fat.
oOoOo THE ICE CREAM oOoOo
Pulling it out of the cute wrapper, any cuteness is immediately blown from my mind when I see it. It looks like a very pink circumsised willy on a stick! omg, it even has a ridge going down one side! LOLOL After nearly wetting myself laughing and being told to 'grow up' by Mark I had a suck..... and then Mark nearly wet ...
