= Warburtons Crumpets = Well I was so glad to see that Ciao had put up Warburtons crumpets as the Product Of The Week this week because I certainly do love these scrumptious treats. I have loved crumpets for many years because of their wonderful smell, taste and the price isn't all that bad, and they are only 1% fat which isn't to bad at all is it?. A couple of crumpets are filling so I usually have around one or two around breakfast and sometimes lunch times. Now I know what you may be asking, " What On Earth Are Crumpets" well I will tell you, you will love them for sure!... Crumpets are a ... more

My Nan calls them Pikelets and my Gran calls them crumpets but call them Pikelets or crumpets to me they both mean the same thing. To me they are a symbol of my childhood when I would go round to my Grans as a child with my father on a cold winters day wrapped up in my best winter coat, a scarf almost covering my face and my bright pink earmuffs to save me from the cold. We would walk into my Grans who would be sat by the electric heater, a blanket round her legs, she would immediately jump up and offer to make me a cup of tea to warm my cockles and with that came the offering of a pikelet to ... more

Introduction Crumpets are great for breakfast…lunch…as a snack or anytime of the day really. They make a pleasant change to toast and cereals, which can become quite ordinary when eaten day after day for weeks on end. Something about their warmth makes them a great comfort food for eating in front of the TV. I remember when I was little; I always used to have 2 crumpets smothered with butter on a Friday evening after dance practice in front of the TV curled up in my Duvet. Somehow they just make you feel all happy inside. Brief Overview Warburtons are famous for their bread and obviously with ... more

Ahhhh those mornings when you feel like something different for breakfast, bored of toast or cereal always the same thing, pour into bowl add milk or put the bread in the toaster, take it out and butter that's why they invented crumpets. Okay well I'm not totally sure about that but they do taste delicious. That nice rich powerful taste just sinking into your taste buds, butter oozing out and it all sliding perfectly down your throat. But don't take my word for it try it your self. But before you do let me give you a little insight on what you will be tasting/eating. A little bit about ... more

Some of you may remember that I wrote a review last week on the Kingsmill love to Toast crumpets as I am partial to a crumpet in the morning when I get to work but generally am very loyal to the warburtons brand of crumpet, but last week because I couldn't find my beloved brand of crumpet on the shelves in Asda I had to resort to the Kingsmill version which didn't go down too well with me so now I'd like to take an opportunity to review my favourite crumpet – the Warburtons crumpet. What is a crumpet? No a crumpet is not as the thinking man's saying goes an intelligent good looking woman / one ... more
