Warhammer 40,00 Dawn of War: Dark Crusade Official Strategy Guide

Advantages: Great games, great graphics and great gameplay.
Disadvantages: takes up alot of space when all are installed.

...The Dawn of war anthology consists of the complete Dawn of wars series that is Dawn of war, Dawn of war: winter assault and Dawn of war: dark crusade. Dawn of war: Dawn of War was voted 2005 game of the year and it is clear to see why. Dawn of War is a real time strategy that follows the same sorts of game play that the command and conquer games follow but from the point of view of the Warhammer 40,000 armies. The idea of building a base and then using each different type of building to create an army in order to crush the opposition is the main aim of the game. The campaign mode the player commands the Blood ravens chapter as they strive to win back control of a conquered imperial planet from the clutches for the Orks and the Chaos. Advantages: Adds a few more armies, good single player story. fun multiplayer
Disadvantages: Gets repetative, computer difficulties get fustrating

...The latest version of the dawn of war series, dark crusade, they say is an expansion pack for dawn of war but you dont actually need the first dawn of war to play this game, only if you wish to play online with the standard armies (space marines, Chaos, Eldar & Orks) which i do highly recommend. Dark Crusade offers two more armies, Tau and Necrons which adds a bit more game play but me being simple, found the necrons highly confusing to understand and play with. While playing on single player missions, i found that if the computer is set at a higher difficulty than medium it is virtualy impossible to get started, swarming your base like wasps, this i found quite frustrating as on easy mode the computer is quite terrible. But the new single player campaign is fun until you have completed it with a couple armies, i recommend getting a few... Read review

Advantages: Addictive

...Dawn Of War will have you playing from dusk till dawn, that's for sure! The game is incredibly fun, with several different modes to choose from. It's a fantastic bundle, great value, Dawn of War and Winter Assault on their own are fantastic but Dark Crusade really takes the games to a new level. A real bonus for the game is that even on dial-up speed, the online multiplayer is still relatively accessible, with only minor lag. Even with minimum requirements met, this game is really playable and even looks great. Watch out though, tackling campaign and multiplayer foes could suck up your day, it's just too darn fun to stop playing! It really is hard to find games like this, especially bundled together.
