...Having worked in the catering industry for a couple of years, I grew very fond of freshly made smoothies, especially as I didn't have to pay for them. So after leaving the industry, and suffering from smoothie withdrawal symptoms, I was on the look out for a decent blender.
In the catering industry, there is one manufacturer who is renowned for their professional blenders, this being Waring. Having used their professional blenders I was well aware of their quality and durability, so it was an easy choice to make as to where to start my search. Now being a bit vain, when I spotted the PB25EX with its stainless steel jug, I knew immediately that it was the one for me.
The Look

Okay, if a blender could be described as looking sexy, then this is it. The PB25EX has a robust base, made out of hard wearing plastic and is jet...

...I've had my Hotpoint Electron 800+ for about three years, and it's only let me down once...it needed a new belt and that was easily put right.
It's OK as far as 800rpm machine go. It gets the washing clean, so it's doing it's job. Infact i can't really think of much bad to say for it at all except maybe one thing...it's NOISY.
I live in a top flat, and I always worry when it's wash day that the little old bid downstairs is driven from her home. I have to close all doors between the kitchen and lounge, because it makes watching TV or talking to someone on the phone a nightmare.
I can't say this has come through age or ware and tear, it's always been like that, so maybe I'll just have to start thinking about a newer machine, if not for my sanity, but for my hearing....

Advantages: Ease of use, versatility, easy to clean, looks great Disadvantages: Expensive add-ons
...work out of creaming and whipping etc I didn't think that it could get much easier but I was wrong. The Kitchen Aid Classic is robust enough to kneed heavy doughs yet delicate enough to whip the lightest meringues and creams. Incredibly easy to use main attachments with bayonet fittings and two levers, one to tilt the head back and the other to control the speed settings. Possibly the best feature is that the stainless steel bowl is ridiculously easy to clean and ready again in seconds for it's next job.
There is a downside however. The attachments seem to be prohibitively expensive, certainly in the UK, but if you happen to travel to the US then you can bring them back with you at a far better price.
If you like baking you'll love this....

My recent review on the Wii console gave it much praise which I still feel was well justified. The games we had at Christmas were all very good playable and lots of fun, so our anticipation to playing the latest addition to the collection would have been more
Being bad is good so there isn’t much surprise that Wario has become more popular with each passing year. From humble beginnings on the Game Boy with WarioLand he’s made appearances on most of the Nintendo consoles but he’s really made a name of himself more
