The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology: the Wii Remote controller! Wario stumbles into an old building called the Temple of...
more...Form. Inside, he finds a mystical treasure called the Form Baton. There are many ways to hold and move the baton (called "forms"), and legend has it that if the holder follows the forms, he can overcome any challenge. With this discovery, the form craze spreads and soon everybody is doing their best to master the moves. Features: Revolutionary Fun - With hundreds of microgames, this game is just as wild as you'd expect from the name WarioWare, but the game play has been revolutionized. Under Wario's tutelage and with the help of the Wii Remote, players will swing, spin and squat their way to victory. Tons and Tons of Microgames - With more than 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing, WarioWare: Smooth Moves takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. All players need is confidence, a Wii Remote and their best moves. Off-Screen Party - With games that are as much fun to play as they are to watch people play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves brings the party to its feet. It's hilarious for players and audiences alike.

This game is very odd.
It is a series of mini games that each last about 5 seconds.
after 14 mini games a hard "boss stage" appears and if you pass it you unlock a new level.
The levels are set out like a map, with a new location appearing every time you beat the previous one.
There are a host of wacky characters (Most of whom will be recognised by anybody who has played the WarioWare series previously)

The single player part of the game is very short, i completed it in an afternoon. There are additional challenges like playing all of the mini games so that they all appear in the "temple" on the map (a place where you can go to practice the games) and collecting the "lets pose" cards that you get after each boss stage (just a picture of somebody posing with a wiimote)
By the second day of me having this day i had unlocked every mini game and every place on the map and completed every level including the four elephant buildings (each has a different challenge, for example one only gives you one life to do all the games, one only has the hardest games etc) which are meant to be difficult.

Also - multi player mode isn't available until you complete single player mode which was frustrating at first since my boyfriend and I bought the game to play together that afternoon.
It doesn't take long to beat single player mode though, as i mentioned before

This game will probably appeal to younger players more than older players since it has a bit of a random feel to it.
For example some of the games include putting false teeth in for an old woman and "hula"ing an imaginary hoop with the wiimote held by your hip.
A lot of the short animations you get afterwards are a bit odd also. They often involve something that was absolutely nothing to do with the game you just played. Such as a piece of fruit flying past or a fish falling out of somebody's nose (these examples may not actually be in THIS WarioWare game...but they are good examples!)

The "forms" as they are called of using the wiimote seem intimidating at first when you see how many there are but have a way of staying in your head. Some of these forms include holding the wiimote upright like the handle of an umbrella (that form is called...erm...the Umbrella... Rather predictably!) Balancing it on your hand like a waiter with a plate (The Waiter) and horizontally like the handlebars of a bike (The Handlebar)
I think you get the idea!

The graphics are silly and cartoony, but clearly MEANT to be so. It has a sort of charm in its silly simplicity but is not for all. Personally i like the graphics with their fun childlike style they are a refreshing change from most games these days that are trying too hard to strive for realism.

Overall this game is not for all...but is certainly for many.
If you are willing to give in to the sheer silliness of it then you'll have plenty of fun!
I would recommend this game to anybody with a good sense of humour. Or anybody with children to entertain.
