hey jo90: Quentin Wilson doesn't run this company he just advertises it, which is as unwise as buying a policy from them. I broke down, electrical problem. Rang them got answerphone. They rang me back on my mobile at the garage later that day. By then I'd had to authorise the work. Said they'd fax the garage an assessment form; they didn't. I emailed them with my claim which was for one hour's work plus a £20 part. I scanned and copied the bill and copy of my latest service invoice and my MOT, as requested. Heard nothing. Rang them a few days later was told by a rude ignorant man to put it all in writing. Did so. A week later got a claim form from them and had to do it all again: why didn't their guy say I needed a claim form and send me one? Easy: they want to make it too much bother for you. I also told them i was fed up with the car and was selling it so wanted to surrender the warranty for refund on remaining time. Eventually they paid the claim. I'd returned the policy document but got a call saying i had to return the policy booklet (identical to the one you can read on their website.) I asked why; "because it's in the terms and conditions." They then did not pay the £150 refund because I'd had a claim. Claim was £57: be nice if they'd said don't claim your refunds worth more. SUMMARY: just as scummy as all the other warranties and as for Quentin Wilson, well I hope I bump into you some time

Quentin has designed the whole policy and not just put his name to it, if this chap had read his policy booklet he would know that! I think Quentin is a true consumer champion and we should be praising his efforts!

A shame about the bad experience - but this is a reasonable first review. One thing you could add to this is an introductory section explaining what services they actually provide - I'm guessing that it's insurance but I wasn't 100% sure from the details you gave.

Advantages: Everything is covered - including air con, abs, ecu etc etc etc. Very comprehensive. Disadvantages: Check the labour rate of your local garage before booking the "labour rate" option.
