Advantages Well written, well drawn
Disadvantages Pacing maybe a bit weird

This is a ‘graphic novel’ (ie big comic) written by Warren Ellis and drawn by Juan Jose Ryp. It’s published by Avatar and costs £9 on amazon. Mainstream comics unfortunately means superheroes to the exclusion of pretty much anything else. The ‘Big Two’ comic companies, Marvel and DC, used to print a wide variety of genre titles, but since the 80s it’s been pretty much just superheroes. A lot of smaller publishers do the same.
