"If you have any bitter, great." I said. "But I'll settle for a pilsner."
"Ah, you are English" he said, suicidally.

Warsteiner pours to a very pale, crystal clear, golden colour with ascending bubbles and a frothy, creamy, though short-lived, white head. The head collapsed VERY quickly. There’s a noticable maltiness in the aroma but also a subtle hint of hops with sweet, grainy aromas following through and a little yeastiness to it. The scent is robust but not overwhelming. Arriving at my hotel in Germany quite late in the evening and too tired to hunt down any particular beer, I sauntered along to the hotel bar and casually perused the choices on offer. Who am I kidding? It had been a long dry day and I was absolutely gagging. I was spitting feathers. In short, I had a drouth on me that would make a camel blush. I was thirsty!

-------- THE POUR --------
Warsteiner pours to a very pale, crystal clear, golden colour with ascending bubbles and a frothy, creamy, though short-lived, white head. The head collapsed VERY quickly. There’s a noticable maltiness in the aroma but also a subtle hint of hops with sweet, grainy aromas following through and a little yeastiness to it. The scent is robust but not overwhelming. There is good carbonation although less evident, I think, than other pilsners. I also thought that it had a paler colour and fainter hop aroma than most German Pilsners.
--------- THE TASTE ---------
Medium-bodied, the taste is balanced - not too sweet and not too bitter. One of the things I liked about this beer was the presence of hops throughout. It's light and biscuity, crisp and refreshing but lacking in any real intensity. It has a smooth and enjoyable flavour but doesn't really have a big kick to it. It's very slightly dry and bitter in the finish but there is little or no aftertaste.
----------- THE VERDICT -----------
At 4.8% ABV, it drinks very easily, and is satisfying without giving the tastebuds too vigorous a work-out. Although not the most interesting beer I’ve ever tasted, it’s certainly worth drinking and I would pick it over many others of a similar style. Put it this way, I wouldn't empty a glass of this beer to replace it with a Rolling Rock!
A very drinkable and pleasant beer. Not the most complex of brews but it's crisp and refreshing. This beer is a great thirst quencher and is ideal for a sunny afternoon or perhaps to wash down a little wurstchen und brotchen.
Advantages: nice taste, easy to drink Disadvantages: a bit pricy
...feminine branding put you off. Warsteiner is a full 5% and is easier to knock back than fosters or stella. It has quite a strong flavour and if served on draught, is usually not too fizzy (depends on the pub you're in)
It's usually priced along the lines of stella or kronenburg if you can find it on draught. Alternatively a number of pubs sell it in bottles and it's normally served in a ponsy glass too! If you're ever in Dublin, loads of pubs there ... ...either cheap n cheerful (n not so good) or premium top drawer stuff. Warsteiner fits into the latter category at the higher end of it too. It's worth keeping your eye out for and having a sample, but I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a strong beer!

...in this country, we found Warsteiner a rich full-bodied and flavoursome brew, delivering a crisp alcoholic bite whilst remaining refreshing. Each of us consumed several chilled foaming pints in a remarkably short period of time, the result being unpredictably severe difficulties in walking home. Since that partially memorable night, I have encountered Warsteiner on a handful of occasions; it is, quite simply, a superlative product, a great alternative ...

Having a look at their website, I'm guessing that they totally dominate the beer market in Turkey. Not only do they produce this beer, but a few others under the Efes label, as well as many unpronounceable ones which are destined for the Russian and Central Asian beer drinker.
They also brew, under licence, such well known beers as: Fosters, Becks, Warsteiner and MGD.
Speaking of Turkey...
Apparently, at a dig in the Middle East, archaeologists have recently unearthed a previously unknown species of dinosaur. A lesbian one at that. Rumours are it's to be called a Lickalotapus.
Back to the beer...
THEY SAY:
"A combination of crystal clean water and pure culture yeast yields superb fermentation and stable flavour, while Hallertau hops give Efes a complex finish."
This beer pours a rich, honey-gold colour - crystal clear ...

Advantages: Tasty, clean crisp flavour, Moorish, can drink it all night Disadvantages: Expensive, can remain over the limit for driving for the whole of the next day
I, like millions of men, women and all to frequently children enjoy a beer.
Over the Evolution of me I have evolved from a Bitter drinker to (when I was living in Germany) a Pilsner drinker.
Some of the best drinks in the world come from Europe for example ? Warsteiner (A.K.A Wobbly) from Germany to Grolsh from Holland. But over here in the good old UK we have embraced Stella from Belgium to our bosom?
Like most European lagers and pilsners Stella Artois is a basic mix of water, hops and barley?.
Sorry? Were you expecting more ingredients? Well I hate to upset but there aren?t! Sorry! No chemicals, no colourings in fact I?d say it?s better than most herbal remedies! (XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) Slanderous joke removed hehehehe.
Stella is a fairly strong drink and at 5.2% alcohol by volume 1 pint is going to put you ...
