Purchased for £499, from online store kingdom appliances. The Delivery took 4 days, and I have had no problems with the washer dryer so far. I have a storage room where I have installed the item and can sleep sound as it hardly makes any noise, just only to the end of the cycle. One more very important feature for me was that the L16850 is also a condenser dryer which means you can install it wherever you want in the household, As I have a seperate storage room this was one of the reasons I purchased it. 2 PCB failures in a month

Advantages: Choice of programs, 20 min wash, large capacity
Disadvantages: RELIABILITY

Owned this since April 09 purchased at John Lewis with free 5 year warranty. Not a huge choice of washer dryers and this seemed a reasonable price particularly with 5 year warranty. Good array of programs, 20 min wash very handy for lightly soiled clothes. Pretty quiet in operation but can be noisy winding up for spin, not bad at 1400 just makes a racket getting there. Dryer is ok, washer dryers are never that quick at drying but this one is reasonable ...
...needs an extra run. My issue is that it has now required repair twice in a month, both times it's gone dead and both with PCB failure, this is very disappointing for a £500+ machine to break twice in 5 months. I'd read reviews saying AEG wasn't what it used to be as it's now part of electrolux, could this be proof?! The latest PCB failure could not be repaired on the spot as the technician had used his last replacement on another L14850 which leads ...

Space saving but Hard Working

Advantages: big drying load capacity, space saving, intuitive programmes, variety of programmes
Disadvantages: none so far

When my old washer-dryer broke, I did a lot of research before replacing it with this one. I can honestly say that it has been a superb experience from start to finish. One of my concerns was that some people had mentioned the confusing number and configuration of buttons and programmers. Fantastic machine

Advantages: large capacity, low volume

I recently had to buy a washer dryer to replace the Candy appliance that came with my flat when I purchased it.
