...eighteen months ago and the Indesit washing machine that came with it has been a disappointment. Firstly, and bizarrely, despite its A rating - their is no half load option on the machine. The dryer is awful thus unusable, ebverything came out smelly foul. The concrete block on top has sheared off from the bolts and the replacing them and new brackets has cost £90 to fix (including repair man fees). he also said Indesits were wholly unrelaible and ...
...even when concrete is in place! The quality of cleaning generally is poor. There are considerably better products on the market which will not let you down so early in their life times and around the same price! I would never buy another Indesit machine again. ...

Hotpoint-Ariston A1600WD, not reliable

Advantages: Easy to Use, Good Wash selection
Disadvantages: Dryer packed up very quickly, leaves lint on clothes after a while

Hotpoint-Ariston A1600WD Our last washing machine packed up and we went on the hunt for a new one, looked around some of the options on offer, and settled on this one. It’s a condensing model which was great, no plumbing in a hose to vent or messing around with piping. Had a good selection of programs, and wash temperature easily selected. Hotpoint WDD960 excellent for families with children

Advantages: washes well, dries well, quiet (when properly installed)
Disadvantages: installation instructions could be clearer

...a small bit on the Hotpoint website with a picture of the bolts and we pulled it out and discovered that they were there still. In fact, one of them had been cut in half. Hotpoint WD72 - Excellent machine

Advantages: Reliable, easy to use, easy to maintain
Disadvantages: Bit noisy on spin cycle

Dangerous cheap rubbish- fire after 2 years of being installed!!!

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Fire hazard, very noisy, moves around the kitchen, takes a long time to wash

...so as far as value for money goes, all I think they offer is false economy! I would not recommend them to my worst enemy, so if you are moving into a flat or house with a diplomat washing machine beware! This wachine machine has been nothing but a nightmare. ...
