Hoover - DO THEY GET ANYTHING RIGHT???

Advantages: Washer and Dryer in one
Disadvantages: CRAP - COMPLETELY LET YOU DOWN

...was looking for and a Hoover WDM130. The Hotpoint one only had a small drum and didn't hold a lot of washing - no good with 4 kids. So I opted for the Hoover WDM130, knowing I would be walking out of the shop with it, (not actualy walking WITH it in my arms) but at least tonight I could do some of the mountain of washing waiting for me at home! ...and have recently had call Hoover out for the 2nd time to fix the broken door hinge, this seems to be made rather cheeply and doesn't look at all very strong, so I suppose it will break again? I also had trouble in getting in touch with Hoover/Creda, as they did not seem to want to answer the phone at all and kept me waiting for ages on the line after pressing all sorts of numbers 1, if you want this option 2, if you want that one etc, eventually ...

  My first Washer Dryer dilema

Advantages: Easy to use washer dryer that fits nicely into my kitchen
Disadvantages: Wash performance is not up to the Grade A standard as promised!!

Hoover HNWL7166 washer/dryer/cheese grater

Advantages: Reliable repair people
Disadvantages: You might need them sooner than you think

Advantages: Large load and uncluttered fascia
Disadvantages: Drying duration knob breaks easily when turned wrong way

The machine is 2 years old last christmas, yup domestic disaster during the festive season, deep joy! This machine has been given plenty of usage, I have a famiy with 5 children. At weekends both the dryer and washer functons gets used to ensure the school uniforms are cleaned and ready to go! The machine is fairly quiet considering that the max spin is 1500rpm, the route to this speed is quite clever as it builds up slowly thus reducing the strain on the motor, this spin leaves the clothes damp, not dripping, thus the drying time is greatly reduced.
