Advantages: Fair easy to use. Disadvantages: Kept getting 'system' errors.
...the dry cycle, I called hotpoint to get an engineer out and they said I could either have it repaired or replaced. If I had it repaired it might happen again as it looked like a system error of some sort. So I had it replaced with the same model. 2 weeks later, the same thing happened I called up again for them to send out the engineer - luckily we got the same one so he knew what the problem was. at this point I asked for my money back (So I could ... ...a proper washing machine) the person on the phone gave me some bull about how she wasn't authorised to transfer money back to the customer so I said fine 'what can you do then?' she said I had 2 options. !. Have it replaced with another washer/dryer or 2. Replace it with a washing machine to the same value. I chose the 2nd option. And I can honestly say I haven't regretted the decision. And lucky for us, my future mum-in-law bought us a separate ...

I have recently purchased this machine and am a first time user of the washer/dryer style machine! I find that although it takes a while to boil wash, overall the machine is efficient and easy to operate, although i find the dryer a little slower than my old traditional seperate dryer, the ease of programming the machine to wash then dry means if im out, when i return home, its all done, no loading and unloading two machines......as machines go this ...

I bought mine in april 2008 and was quite nervous when it came as i read lots of negative reviews about it whilst waiting for it to be delivered. The only problem i encountered with it was for the 1st 5 months when the rubber seals got hot during drying it would smell very strongly of burning rubber and this would infiltrate the washing and made me feel quite sick, bear in mind this was during summer so the dryer aspect of it was not used that often. ... ...once i came to use the dryer regularly the smell wasn't as bad. Also there is no lint filter to change as it is swilled down the waste pipe and no water tank to empty as this goes the same route!

...know that washer dryers cant be compared to dryers only, for their drying capability but this dryer, if you can call it that is just a joke.....
It will be the last hotpoint I will ever purchase...In fact i would rather wash my clothes by hand than but another one.. ...
