Advantages: Variable temperature, A+ rated, efficient, easy to use
Disadvantages: Heavy, a little pricey, not "pretty"

I have owned this machine for a week. It is fantastic. It is so quiet in operation (even spinning at 1600rpm) that I keep getting the urge to check it is still running. It is a VERY heavy unit so needs more than one person to get it into position and it does cost more than your average washer/dryer BUT it is worth the xtra layout. My favourite household appliance

Advantages: lots of features, easy to use, A+ energy class
Disadvantages: price

We bought our Miele softtronic WT2670 washer dryer machine while I was pregnant with my first son. I had difficulties with drying the dark clothes. Half of them became smelly. I felt that kind of smell that you can feel when you leave wet clothes in a bag for 1-2 days. I Am Going To Wash That Girl Right Out Of My Hair!

Advantages: Reliable, quiet, plenty of settings
Disadvantages: Very heavy, dryer produces clothes too hot to touch

we got this machine 4 years ago of a friend who had it for only 1 year, it served us well for the first 2, it has many quallitys 1600 spin, sfty locks it were an A wash performance and is easie too use, i thought it were great and i made a good deal, but then the dryer stoped working, i had a engineer come out to fix it then it worked fine for about 6 months, and broke down altogether, i called the engineer out again. he got it working but then 4 ...

Look elsewhere, please research! Hotpoint wdl540p avoid!

Advantages: Easy enough to use.
Disadvantages: No timer, loud, creasing, poor build, poor drying, no access filter, poor aftercare.

This Hotpoint also comes as a wdl540g the grey model, so research both as they are the same machine. The machine it's self is easy to use apart from the obvious, no timer function so you have no idea how long until the end of a cycle. Actually putting a wash and dry on is easy enough. The machine it's self is loud and I mean loud, if you have a small house or open plan don't bother, could not have this machine on at night or settle to watch a film ...
...guessed it, it's a hotpoint call out at a fee of course. The build quality is pretty bad too, I had 3 faults within 9 months, and the first was within weeks of purchase. Hotpoint outright refused anything but a repair each time, after the third and final fault I had to claim from the retailer under the sale of goods act and pushed for a full refund or exchange to another make, which I got eventually.
