Disappointing Servis washer/dryer M9503W Advantages: Reasonably priced model Disadvantages: Noisy on the spin cycle, clothes take ages to dry ...I feel let down by Servis bearing in mind the washer/dryer is still under guarantee. I would not recommend this machine - it takes ages to dry even light loads but with no garden I had no choice. It is, however an easy machine to use - only noisy once it get to the spin cycle, fairly economical and until it went wrong I was reasonably happy except the lengthy drying time. ... Dryer broke after 1 year, washer lasted less than 5 Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Poor design and construction - didn't last despite careful use Dryer part gave up after 1 year - looks like a design fault since other people reported the same problem. Very early on there was a "hot" smell or burning smell while drying, later it was accompanied by a loud noise. Basically water and fluff had got clogged where it shouldn't and rusted up the bearings. STAND AWAY FROM THE MACHINE!!!! Advantages: Nice looking machine Disadvantages: Customer service is appauling. Drier kept breaking ...time it has been the drier that has broke but the funny thing is I've only ever used it a handful of times so I don't believe that. I like this washer/dryer Advantages: Very easy to use Disadvantages: Can't alter programme without stopping the machine ...beforehand.There is only one spin speed, but haven't managed to shrink anything so far. On the whole, I'm very impressed with this model and would defintiely recommend it to others. Disappointing washout Advantages: Saves room Disadvantages: Takes forever to dry clothes ...catalogue and decided on the Servis washer/dryer. The delivery men got lost and I had to give them directions, when they arrived they were efficient and plumbed it in for me. Had I known that them getting lost was the least of my worries. I read the instruction manual and proceded to use the washer. The part about the dryer usage was at the back of the manual and could miss the instructions that you only turn the dryer timer clockwise, although ... ...hours. I will give Servis their due they replaced it without a problem and yes it has gone a second time but seeing I do not use the drier part anymore have not bothered to replace it. Also in the time that I have had it I have also had to have the motor circuit replaced which could only be bought complete at a cost of £70, and on several occassions have had to have the repair man out as a connection has come off inside the washer.
