Broken after 14 months of mild usage. Advantages: Small Disadvantages: Has to be replaced every 18 months. The machine worked well, if noisely since Jan 2008. However recently it started running noiseily. We don't use the machine an awful lot, and paid quite a bit of money for it. Now it stopped working altogether. I had an engineer out and its a complete right -off. I'm going to have to buy another machine. we've only done normal loads in the machine, and its completely broken after only 18 months. Bosch WAE 2416 Advantages: Short wash cycle Disadvantages: Can be noisy if on uneven surface Me and my partner purchased this washing machine about 18 months ago when we moved into our new house and paid about £280 for it. The machine is brilliant - it has a large loading capacity, various different cycles to choose from, is very quick (about an hour and 10 mins for a full load) and is reasonably quiet. Clothes always come out very clean, even if heavily soiled. The spin cycle is very good - it can be quite noisy if you just put on the spin ... hoover vision HD 862 Advantages: NUMEROUS! PLEASE READ ON...... Disadvantages: none significant, but more than 1 yr guarantee would be nice, at the price ...(has to be repaired by Hoover at Hoover prices). They also offer you 4 years labour insurance at about £180, to be arranged within 30 days. What I like best is the big drum size, quick 15 minute wash, very high spin, and fact that the drum is quite high so loading isn't such a strain on the back. The porthole is very wide and the door opens wide, although not to a full 180. All in all I think it was a sound buy.
