Washing Machine Beko WMA520 review-DO NOT BUY

Advantages: Time delay for wash to start may be useful, good looking model, 1200 spin machine for £200
Disadvantages: Very unreliable-do not leave unattended (see "Any repairs"

...been to same models as Beko knew wrong model of door seal had been fitted to these machines and caused rubbing - store argued however and had to put up with machine on their assurance it would be okay. Machine in mid spin when started to bounce and immediately door burst open, however machine continued to spin. Got independent washing engineer out who said bolts holding block inside had sheared (were then found to be old bolts- machine only just ...
...therefore no come back on faults. Machine now replaced with different make. First time I have ever bough a Beko product and would not buy again. I am unsure if they have continued with this model, but feel there are much more reliable products on the market though. ...

Beko wm5140w broke after use of 3 times

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Bad customer Service

...times it broke! i rang beko customer services and they sent an engineer out two weeks after i had contacted them to come and fix it. When the engineer came he had a look and told me it was a circuit board for the water intake, and that he would have to order the part and come back to fix it. It was a further 3 weeks before they came back to fix it, i had only had the washing machine for 4 days before it broke and it took them 5 - 6 weeks for them ...

i looked around for months before i bought my latest washing machine. i read reviews, listened to shop staff, asked family and friends - yet still could not decide. i came across this one in the tesco website and the reviews were all positive so i thought i'd give it a go. it's excellent. the 8kg is an added boinus to me as i have 4 children and so much washing i think i'm washing for my street. it's easy to use and has loads of different programmes, ...

Very BEKOming.

Advantages: A 30 minute wash cycle.
Disadvantages: Nothing major.

...next in line were the Beko models which were all competitively priced, I have not had a Beko model before but family members have and they have had no problems. I ended up ordering the Beko WM5100 in a white finish and that cost me £199 with free delivery. The washing machine arrived and as usual we had to install it. The machine is a cold water fill and it is fairly simple to install really, you just fix the hose to the cold water supply, put ...
...slimline it is . The Beko WM500 is in a white finish and as soon as you look at it you realise that it is not going to take a degree in electronics to be able to work it. The Beko washing machine has just one main control knob in the centre of the control panel and some smaller buttons that you press for what are called the auxiliary functions ( pre-wash, extra rinse, spin speed, no spin, no heat and rinse hold ). The on and off button sits beside ...

Xpress wash = 1400spin, 50 degree wash, 8kg in under an hour

Advantages: 8kg wash in under an hour with variable spin and temperature.
Disadvantages: None noticed at the moment

Wash cycles: After much searching, we found a machine that doesn't "kidnap" your clothes for hours. It will do an 8kg wash at 50 degrees with 1400 spin in 50 minutes, and according to the manual apparently using around 80 litres of water, and 1.05 kWh to achieve this. Most others we looked at seemed to only allow small loads for 'quick' wash, or took around 90 - 120+ mins for a full load. This machine allows variable spin (400 - 1400) and variable ...
...for its Xpress wash for a full 8 kg load of lightly soiled items. The cleaning and rinsing is good, and the operation quiet. I use liquid detergent so don't know what the results with powder would be like. The anti crease and prewash can't be set on Xpress, but extra rinse and rinse/hold can. There are a range of other programmes for which the full spec, including energy and water used, can be found in the user manual on the BEKO.co.uk website if ...
