A good brand gone bad

Advantages: Large capacity
Disadvantages: Poor customer service

We have had Whirlpool machines for 20 years or so because they are fast and have a good capacity. We have had this machine for 18 months. There are just two of using it and the tub bearing failed. Whirlpool want £662 to repair it or provide a new one for £595. We paid that amount for the original one. After some correspondence with Whirlpool they said they would not offer any recompense for the failure even when advised how little use it had had. ...

beko washer, the good & not so good.

Advantages: Good value machine, washes well on every programe
Disadvantages: Quick wash cycle takes ages!

It does exactly "what it says on the tin", lovely clean clothes on all programs, even the delicate wash. It is a very quiet machine, with easy to follow controls. Disadvantages: Length of time for wash, Poor wash, Leaking, over-sensitive balance

I bought this machine about 6 months ago as a fairly basic work horse machine. It is cold fill and supposed to be green & economical to run - huh! Firstly it takes 2.5 hours for a full cotton wash and I would question how 2.5 hours electricity saves much over heating the water a bit more.
