beko washer, the good & not so good. Advantages: Good value machine, washes well on every programe Disadvantages: Quick wash cycle takes ages! ...going to happen again. This Beko model was the cheapest one recommended on comparison web sites. Well I have to say I am chuffed to bits with it. It does exactly "what it says on the tin", lovely clean clothes on all programs, even the delicate wash. It is a very quiet machine, with easy to follow controls. My only little gripe with it is that Beko's idea of a quick wash programe is a bit wide of the mark to mine! Reliable, but small Advantages: EVERYTHING! (except drum size) Disadvantages: Size of drum The washing machine itself is great, however the drum size is inconvenient. There are two average size adults in the household. We don't do excessive amounts of washing. Given that information, I think the drum size is unrealistically small and in my opinion, it would not be suitable for a family and/or people that do a lot of washing. However, the pros way out the cons, if you can get by with out a large drum. BEKO WMA 510 Advantages: 30 minute quick wash, child lock, pause function. Disadvantages: None spring to mind Beko WMA 510 is excellent Value for money. It is easy to use and comes with a manual that explains each operation in detail and plain english, not double dutch. The best thing about it is their is a child lock button on there so no little fingers can change the cycle half way through a load. The drum will take a fair amount of clothes, don't overload though or it is horrendously noisy and doesn't clean that well. Powder dispenser tray is really easy ... ...comes. The pause button is another handy little feature, i find it really handy if i am on the phone in the kitchen i can pause the washing maching and still hear myself think. In total there are 16 wash cycles which include 30 minute cycle, Hand Wash, Delicates, Synthetics (temperatures range from cold - 90) and Cottons (temperates again range from cold - 90). beko wm6152 - does it work in extreme cold? Advantages: very economical, good spin Disadvantages: Takes quite a while to do certain tasks ...had any trouble with my Beko Wm6152, i repeat until today!!! I cannot find my user manual and i have rang the beko hotline which is open office hours monday to friday- which is very helpful considering working people are generally at work and have no idea their machine is on strike! Anyway, i bought my machine in july and as the kitchen is the size of a 50p i have put it in the cellar with the fridge freezer, and until today have had no problems, ... ...use the synthetic wash which is quicker than the cotton wash - you cant use the time save on cottons), as a result doesnt spin as hard so i use the spin on its own afterwards to make use of the 1500 rpm. Today when i went to empty the machine, (i set it going last night with a 6 hour delay to start about 3am) it showed no sign of life. It hadnt washed my clothes. Desing flaw on BEKO WMA 520w Advantages: It runs from cold water, hows that for energy efficiency? Disadvantages: Its obvious design fault, and Running times are too long! ...purchased a new one, the BEKO WMA 520W. For 18 months it was used daily, and ran fine... However, a manufacturing design fault caused us some stress. The drum is encased in plastic to prevent water from flooding your house (fair enough)... But the fatel flaw? The concrete block at the base is bottled from beneath to the plastic casing.
