...a brand new model from Bosch and it was recommended by the website I bought it from (http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/feed). I only took delivery a few weeks ago but as a mum of 4 I am really happy with the selection of programmes and little features like the time remaining, shorter quick wash programmes and the variable spin speeds. When they told me how much a good built in washer would cost I freaked out but I think it's a good idea ...

Advertised as Silent System Whisper Quiet Operation, this is the noisiest washing machine we have ever owned, and we have had several.
After first use we complained, and the engineer changed a pump, with no improvement. A second pump of a different type was fitted, with marginal improvement. Engineer said there was nothing more he could do. On complaining to customer services by telephone when the machine was running and droning on through its wash ...

I bought this model from Argos Direct on 15.11.09. First machine broke down in the middle of its first cycle leaving the clothes soaked in soapy water, ruining the whole wash. It did not heat the water (it uses only cold fill), stopped responding to buttons after I tried to change the broken program to rinse or spin in attempt to save the wash.
The replacement one was delivered two weeks later and did not even bother to react to pressing its buttons ...
