...the purchasing of a the Hoover OPH714D. I hope to cover the main points starting with the price tag. £260 for a washing machine is actually a little on the expensive side when looking in comparison at combo machines that will also dry your clothes but for my purposes I simply needed a washing machine thanks to the sturdy Servis dryer I have that seems to have a never say die attitude. So, yes, the machine may seem a little expensive but it is worth ... ...machines is non-existent.
The Hoover OPH714D is a little on the pricey side but for your money you will get a top performing washing machine that won't give you a headache. It has more options than a driving theory test and best of all, it lasts and lasts. In over 12 months I haven't even had a blocked drainage pipe and for this I am eternally thankful. ...

Advantages: 9kg drum... 'triple A' rating Disadvantages: Overkill for couples
This Hoover washing machine is great! The best feature is its 9!!!!KG drum--- the average drum is about 5kg and if your like my mother who seems to be washing constantly (she does have 3 boys after all) its a massive help... likewise if your just a couple this would be overkill for you! A 1600 speed spin its a good speed- as I have been told more than this can actually cause damage to your delicates without you realising! And dont worry as this is ... ...you manually control the speed!
For those of us who so there bit for the environment it has a 'triple A' rating which is basically the best you can get- this combined with the big drum means its possible for a family to HALVE the cost of the electricity used in during the washing process! Also useful for those looking to save the pennies is the start delay option- for those of electricity economy 7 you can set the delay up to to 12hours and therefore ...
Advantages: NUMEROUS! PLEASE READ ON...... Disadvantages: none significant, but more than 1 yr guarantee would be nice, at the price

What I like best is the big drum size, quick 15 minute wash, very high spin, and fact that the drum is quite high so loading isn't such a strain on the back. The porthole is very wide and the door opens wide, although not to a full 180. All in all I think it was a sound buy. I paid £359 from a local dealer including ... ...could have probably got it cheaper from a big online store but I like to support local firms and knew they would give a trustworthy service as I have bought from them before. Review of Hoover VHD862
Advantages: neat to look at Disadvantages: Extra functions don't work together to make an easy to use cycle
I agree entirely with the previous review. This machine takes forever to wash the large load that I bought it to do. The most suitable cycle that I have found involves setting the dial, and pressing numerous buttons to set the right spin and temperatures. This is fine when I do it, but risky when I'm entrusting the wash to my teenagers!
My biggest complaint however is the fact that I've just had to call an engineer out as my machine stopped full ... ...the filter was clean. The engineer found a 5p coin, and some hair in the out pipe, which he claimed was not covered by warranty, and would have to charge me, unless I extended my warranty for £64.80. My machine is only 9 months old, so the new warranty won't start until December. More worrying is the fact that the engineer couldn't show me how to clear the outlet myself, so does this mean that everytime one of us leaves a coin in a pocket, or a button ...
Advantages: Load Size, Noise, Features Disadvantages: None so far

Hoover Vision 842 was the model for us, now we chose this particular model for a few reasons. Hoover was a name we were familiar with and one which we felt had made an impression on the market with the products. It is an AAA rated machine with a massive 8kg wash load; superb 1400rpm spin speed and well within our budget. What more could we ask for? Well next day delivery would be lovely **Cost and Availability**
