Washing Machine Saviour Advantages: Quiet, large drum Disadvantages: Can take longer to complete a cycle This machine is my saviour. I live in a shared flat on the first floor. Our old machine sounded like a tractor when it was spinning. This machine has an almost silent spin on it. Best washing machine I have ever had. Advantages: Super silent is an understatement Disadvantages: Don't forget when you've put childlock on! Features: Super silent Childlock Temperature control - goes up in 10's from no heat to 90ºc so you can wash your bedding and towels at 50ºc. Spin speed control Wash intensity control Time saver option Reduced crases option Extra rinse option Mini load option - Has an eco option - 30ºc or lower - On a mini load it is 40ºc or lower. I wish I never purchased the machine. Advantages: none Disadvantages: have spent more time hand washing my families clothes because of the machine breaking down I purchased this machine in 2004. It was fine for the first two years. Since March 2006 til January 2007, I have had to call the repaire service out to fix themachine on about 10 times. So far the machine has had three new seals, three new drums, three new heating elements, a new balance block put in the front, and I've lost count on the number of sets of bearings it has had to be replaced. When the bearings go in the machine, the noise is unbearable. ... Goes On And On. Advantages: Very reliable Disadvantages: None We seemed to go throught washing machines like nobody's business. My mother told me I killed them. Then about three years ago we bought this Ariston A1435. On the front it has the name Margherita. It is a 1400 spin speed. It has an energy efficiency of A, a washing one of A and a spin one of B. It also has a self cleaning pump. On the front panel is the detergent drawer. Then there are five press in buttons. One is the on and off button. One is ... ...drum with washing, so you can spin it when you are ready. Then there is a rapid wash button, which reduces the length of the wash programme by about 30%. Then there is the stain removal button, which makes the machine carry out a more intensive wash. Then there is the prewash button, you can use this on all programmes except the wool one. You Spin Me Right Round Baby….. Advantages: Energy Efficient, 7kg Capacity, 1600 rpm Disadvantages: None so far Our washing machine is, without a doubt, the second hardest working thing in our house (after me, obviously..lol) so when our previous, and somewhat geriatric machine suddenly died on us without warning, a replacement was sought without delay. My research as far as choosing a new machine was unscientific - I drove to our nearest Curry's and asked them to show me what they had in stock that I could take away there and then. I had a few to choose ... ...the comparative features and prices, I ended up with the Ariston A1637 in the boot of the Passat. Installing it was easy as the plumbing was all there from the previous machine. It was simply a matter of connecting the cold water feed, routing the waste water pipe, plug it in and away you go. At that point I thought I had better read the instructions…oops, pull it back out and remove the transit fixings.
