Another brilliant John Lewis appliance Advantages: Large drum, timer, ease of use Disadvantages: None ...built by AEG as all John Lewis appliances are (got this tip from the John Lewis sales assistant!). We've had a couple of leakages, but mainly because we use the machine to clean our dog fleeces, and the dogs tend to chew bits off the fleeces leaving lovely bits of fleece to clog up the internal workings. It was very easy to clear the trap once we'd worked out what the problem was. I absolutely love this machine - it's even survived having nails go ... ...trousers). This is sturdy stuff, definitely to be recommended! It's got a timer that allows you to start the wash whenever you want it to (always fun with the dogs), has A energy rating and a really large opening for the drum, which is really handy. There are loads of programmes you can use - I haven't even managed to use them all in two years, I just end up using the same old trusty ones. Super machine, good price too Advantages: Lots of programs, economical to run Disadvantages: None ...to clean the filter. John Lewis give a free 3 year warranty on all their electrical items and free delivery too. I ordered online on Thursday and on Monday the delivery people phoned to ask if I would like it delivered on Wednesday. They will also take your old machine away for £9 but this depends on where you live. A reliable and hard-working machine Advantages: Hassle free washing machine. Reliable and great value for money. Disadvantages: Could do with more control of spin cycle. It took a bit of time to get used to the slower wash speeds that are the hallmark of an environmentally friendly machine but once I'd got over that I've never had a worry about the machine since. It has been completely consistent and reliable. On the standard wash cycle the clothes come out clean, and pretty nearly dry. The only issue I have is with the 30 min wash. It would be helpful to be able to do a longer spin to get the clothes drier. I've ... ...experimenting with dropping down to 30 with good results. Apart from that it has all the usual things you'd expect from a decent machine in terms of programs but nothing spectacularly different. Price wise its a great buy compared with other machines with similar specs. DO NOT BUY Advantages: non Disadvantages: everything ...engineer company who deal with Haier and this is basically the conversation I had with their representative. what is the problem with the machine? ME: seven out of ten times it doesn't spin properly and I get error codes on the digital screen what spin cycle do you use? Bosch WAE28364GB Classixx 6 1400 Express - Good buy Advantages: Easy to use, fast spin, wide opening door, economy. Disadvantages: Difficult to move into position without wheels - might be typical of most modern machines ? ...will tell on this, but Bosch were offering a 2 year guarantee). 3. Value for money. 4. Efficient use of water and electricity. 5. Variable spin speed and 1400 spin to speed up drying of towels. So far the machine has met our expectations in every way. It was described as 57cm deep, however the top of the machine is only 53cm deep - the front then gently curves outward to a depth of 57cm so does not look out of place even if not pushed right back ... ...no wheels on the machine so it was VERY difficult to slide into position over our cushioned lino floor - spraying some polish on the floor helped a lot - dont know how easy it will come back out though. Our old machine had 2 wheels atthe back so ou could tilt it back slightly and roll it nto place. Instructions were quite easy to understand and the machine is very simple to use.
