Soggy spin Advantages: 5 year guarantee Disadvantages: Doesnt do what Samsung claim ...3 minutes clothes are wet. Samsung not interested in complain about Rubbish product. If you want a long guarantee its okay but if you want to run up very high energy bills this is the machine for you. Have to use spin cycle over and over again to try and get the clothes to a damp enough condition to put them into the tumbledryer. Quite when working but thats about the only the redeeming feature on this otherwise wrongly rated machine. Samsung washing machine Advantages: The 6kg Drum Disadvantages: Not available in silver We purchased this washing machine about 4 months ago. It is the best thing i hae ever bought. It is simple to use. Has loads of different settings. You decide each one individually rather than the machine telling you what it will do. The 6kg drum is handy for a family. It even plays you a tune when it is finished. It switches itself off - vvery eco friendly. The overall look of the machine is smart. Samsung Q1233 SGS Advantages: It looks pretty and plays a tune when the cycle finishes Disadvantages: The load capacity is somewhat pathetic and after sales service is questionable ...but my opinion is that Samsung should stick to Mobile phones as they are clearly not in the same league as Candy, Ariston, Dyson or any of the other washing machine specialists. I had the machine for just over a year when it first packed in. The service centre were easy to deal with at first until it came to sending someone out to fix it. In total it took 5 calls (over 2 weeks) to resolve the issue and it turned out that the pump needed to be replaced ... ...is still temperamental and wont take loads anywhere near the size of my old machine which was a hotpoint. It also has days where it doesnt much feel like spinning the load properly. All in all, not good value for the £429 spent! My name is 'BIG' Advantages: Big 7.5kg Wash Load, Up to 1600 spin, 2 Year Guarantee Disadvantages: Needs a lot of space! ...wife and i bought the Samsung Q1636 S model in April 2004. We paid £610.23 at the time, and were given a 'free' gift voucher for a DVD player. As it turned out the voucher was not really free, as i discovered a month later on the internet. The same washing machine was being sold for £450-£460 at various online retailers! My mistake for not checking, and my wife was not amused! Anyway, back to the washer. So far, it has ... ...granite or something! Easy for men to use Advantages: Easy for men to use Disadvantages: Shakes under-wires loose I bought this washing machine from a high street store, mainly because it was on offer at the time, and seemed to be good value for money. In general I find that Samsung, on the whole, have been producing products of a good build quality, nice design features and great performance for the last 4 or 5 years so I did not hesitate to buy this washing machine. I have used the machine for 18 months now and it does produce good results with the washing. ... ...get damaged etc... It also has some easy to use features (as a male the washing machine has long been a mystery) such as child lock and timed washing. The controls are easy to understand to a lay-person and clearly marked on the front of the machine at the top.
