...owned a smaller 6kg tub Siemens machine but sold it a couple of years ago to get a secondhand Dyson. This was great as it had a very large drum. However I had a bad feeling that the bearings may give up in the next year which would mean ££ callout. I had got used to the very big capacity of the Dyson so didn't want to go back to a small drum machine. This machine is rated as 8kg! That is actually 1kg more than the Dyson. So, I have spent the last ... ...The capacity of the Siemens drum is almost as big with a slightly smaller stated volume of 65 litres. Overall, I think that its a one-for-one swap with the Dyson on capacity. The advantages over the dyson; 1 Cold fill only allows better washing with bio liquids.
2 Doesn't vibrate as much on the spin (same 1400rpm speed)
3 Clean design that isn't as funky as the plastic dyson.

We have had Whirlpool machines for 20 years or so because they are fast and have a good capacity. We have had this machine for 18 months. There are just two of using it and the tub bearing failed. Whirlpool want £662 to repair it or provide a new one for £595. We paid that amount for the original one. After some correspondence with Whirlpool they said they would not offer any recompense for the failure even when advised how little use it had had. ...

...going to happen again. This Beko model was the cheapest one recommended on comparison web sites. Well I have to say I am chuffed to bits with it. It does exactly "what it says on the tin", lovely clean clothes on all programs, even the delicate wash. It is a very quiet machine, with easy to follow controls. My only little gripe with it is that Beko's idea of a quick wash programe is a bit wide of the mark to mine! Apart from that I am very happy ...

I bought this machine about 6 months ago as a fairly basic work horse machine. It is cold fill and supposed to be green & economical to run - huh!
Firstly it takes 2.5 hours for a full cotton wash and I would question how 2.5 hours electricity saves much over heating the water a bit more. I don't have that time to wait for a wash to finish - so what economy?
Quickwash is just a swill round - nothing more.
The balance mechanism is so delicate that ... ...still dripping - more waste of power and time. On several occasions it has leaked water when taking in either through the soap drawer or today - the door!
I like to hang washing outside when possible but half the day has gone before the wash has finished.
I did have a fault soon after purchasing and I must say that was cheerfully and speedily fixed. This is the only good thing I have to say.

i got this machine 2yrs ago because it was i liked what it had a big drum so i could wash my quiltes in it a quick wash a child lock which lite up when you pushed it in .every thing was great ontil it broke phone to get it fixed but i was told it was out of warrenty so thought i could get someone out to fix it was told it would be cheaper buying a new machine this is a joke it was only two yrs old .it door has all the works attached to it the fella ... ...so he couldnt be opened .i tried a other fella he to,ld me the same there was nothing i could do but scape it so i got my hubby to open it with a hammer well the fellas i got out where telling the truth i could not be open it was a concelled unite and the machine was only out when i got it and i paid near £500 for it so the next washing machine i got only cost me £295 and it can be opened and it just as good ...
