The Eco friendly Zanussi ZXF 12070 Advantages: Eco friendly Disadvantages: none to speak of yet!! ...from Curry's as our old Zanussi had finally ground to a halt. We paid approximately £320 for the new Zanussi but this included the removal of the old machine. On receiving it I was a bit daunted at first by the different numbers on the dial but on reading the instruction manual provided and once I started using it I found the Zanussi very easy and efficient to use. Saved the day!!!!! Advantages: Really quiet and not bulky or bouncy when the spin is on Disadvantages: Not the best looking Disaster was looming the other week when our washer broke down. We did not know what we was going to do. We had know money to just go out and buy another washer so we decided to get the new washing machine from the catalogue. And this was the one we got. The first look at the washer when it arrived was a little dissapointing because we had gone from a lovely grey and stainless steel washing machine to this WHITE one which we didnt exactly like but ... ...plugging it in and putting our first load of washing in we was pleasently supprised. Ths machine is really quiet. It comes with all the usual features like quick wash and cottons and you know all the usual stuff thats so exciting to have in a washer. Broken after 14 months of mild usage. Advantages: Small Disadvantages: Has to be replaced every 18 months. The machine worked well, if noisely since Jan 2008. However recently it started running noiseily. We don't use the machine an awful lot, and paid quite a bit of money for it. Now it stopped working altogether. I had an engineer out and its a complete right -off. I'm going to have to buy another machine. we've only done normal loads in the machine, and its completely broken after only 18 months. The appliance of Science - You bet it is . Advantages: Economical , variable spin speeds , great results , good value . Disadvantages: Filter in awkward position for some people , dispenser drawer fidddly to clean We bought our Zanussi FJS1225W in 2001 from Alders . We purchased a 5 year extended warranty from Alders which thankfully, as that company no longer exsist ,we did not need . The first problem we have had with this machine has been in 2006 when the warranty had expired . We called out a local firm who only charged us £25 to sort it out . We live in a very hard water area and that fact , along with my choice of powder, had resulted in a blockage ... ...were thinking about buying a Zanussi as we had heard good things about the brand and their washing machines .
