Advantages: JetSytstem+ technology, high spin speed, large capacity Disadvantages: Absolutely None
I bought my Zanussi last week after finally losing patience with my 2½ year old Indesit. In the time I owned it, the repair man had been out more times than I care to remember. His name was Dave, I knew all about his family, his martial status, and most importantly, that he took milk and 1 sugar in tea, milk and two sugars in coffee, and he'd a fondness for McVities Chocolate Digestives.
This was the 2nd Indesit I'd had in that time, as the motor ... ...told by the salesman that Zanussi had been taken over by Electrolux, more famously known for its vacuum cleaners. This made me feel even more convinced that I would be buying a quality brand
After looking at the Zanussi models on offer in the store, I made my choice.
I finally decided on the Zanussi ZWF16581W. I wondered if I was slightly crazy to be spending nearly £400 on a washing machine. But after remembering all the problems that I'd had ...
Advantages: Easy to use, quick washing cycle Disadvantages: None
When our old washer/dryer brokedown we were keen to replace it with another one, but my previous make was no longer available; the Zanussi Washer Dryer ZWD12270W seemed to be the best match for our requirements. It was a reasonable price in the category and supplied the same amount of drying space.
I did some internet reseach and found the best deal at currys.co.uk. The machine is £279.99 plus £19.95 delivery & collection of old one.
Another trawl ... ...with the code AWSALEDEL and then got 1% cash back by going through the greasypalm website to do the purchase.

Advantages: Good all round performance and environmentally friendly Disadvantages: None worth mentioning so far
...since I've been using the Zanussi-Electrolux ZWF 16281. It is a free standing 1600 rpm washing machine in a white finish with dimensions of (H)85.0 x (W)60.0 x (D)60.0 cm. It seems a well constructed aappliance and I suppose by today's standards it was a reasonable price (Just over three hundred quid). It certainly washes clothes to my satisfaction and wash loads on the whole seem to take the same length of time as my parent's Zanussi ZWC 1300.
... ...take into account environmental and energy efficiency related issues and the ZWF16281 certainly meets my expectations in this department. It comes with an A rated energy rating, an A rated wash performance an A rated spin performance. I think the wash performance related to how much water the machine uses. The drum capacity is a generous 54 Litres and can easily take care of a 7 Kg wash load. The machine possesses a top spin speed of 1600 RPM which ...
Advantages: Decent wash and spin, easy to use Disadvantages: Broke down after 5 weeks
Bought a Zanussi ZWF16070W1 from M&S. Installation engineer arrived in very bad mood and said "Zanussis are a nightmare to install" and then refused to install it. He said we would get the installation fee refunded from M&S but they later said we wouldn't.
Machine was reasonable for wash and spin but broke down after just 5 weeks. The drum stopped turning and it sounded like the motor was having a problem. M&S say it is outside their 7 day period, ... ...an engineer to visit (for which we have to take a day off work) and either repair it or condemn it for replacement (which will mean another day off work).
I would have expected a straight replacement for a machine that breaks down after just 5 weeks.
Overall very disappointing service and unsatisfactory reliability or durability. ...

Anyway, the Zanussi ZWF 12280.
This is used in the textiles department of my school. It hasn't been there for very long and is relatively new. It has been used a lot though as it is in the school. Despite this, it has shown no traces of wear and still works as great as when the school first purchased it. The clothes (or materials) come out wonderfully clean and as some of them have been gathering dust on the shelves for a while, it ... ...disturb anyone. It is as close to quiet as a washing machine can go. No one i know has anyone problems using it, and it is pretty simple for a basic wash. It doesn't have the best price though. It is around th £250 mark (Actual price below). This is fine for a school but some families simply don't have that amount of money for a washing machine. Having said that, the A rating for energy consumption may just make it work out a little bit cheaper than ...
