Washmatik Cleaning System

...Ever the cynical one, I’ve been watching the adverts on TV for these new disposable cleaning systems and have generally dismissed them all as a gimmick. Partly because the women doing the cleaning are all unhealthily happy to be cleaning, partly because I find the talking dog and cat inherently creepy, and partly because I just don’t believe the manufacturers’ claims that they are worth buying. Nonetheless, having noticed that the kitchen floor was looking a little on the grubby side, and being somewhat reluctant to get on my hands and knees and scrub, I decided to invest in the Pledge Wet Wipes Cleaning System. Advantages: No nasty chemicals
Disadvantages: No longer available in my local Woolworth!

...I use this for a variety of cleaning tasks around the house, in particular sinks and tiles, but I like it especially for cleaning the oven, as it does not contain any of the usual nasty chemicals you find in standard oven cleaners. You will need to use a little more elbow grease, but that's not a bad thing... We have spent years trying to take any physical effort out of everyday tasks, only to spend the following years thinking of ways to exercise! So instead of using a product which is dangerous for your respiratory system, skin and eyes, give this a try. All you are left with is clean surfaces and a nice lemony smell. Advantages: Quick to Use
Disadvantages: Leaves edges dirty

...I have the type of mop with a flat head and this is brilliant but then you have to use water etc so when I saw the Dettol System I was impressed. Its quick and easy to use but I find it sort of collects the dirt at the edges of your floor, this isnt apparant till the floor dries though. For a quick job like muddy footprints or cats paws on your laminate floor its fine as its quick and easy to use. The Blue Dettox smells far better than the green so I always make sure I have plenty in. For a good clean I still prefer my flat mop as this seems to get right into the edges.
