...Easy to use scanner that is ahead of any other scanner i have used in its price range. Can't recommend this scanner enough. Resolution is out of this world and it has a very good design that goes well with the design of my PC. Other family members have also spoken well of the scanner and have also talked of its ease of use. With other scanners that have used in thr past I have encountered difficulties, but not a problem with this particular model. Also have an epson printer that has not given the family any problems so cannot see this particular product giving us any either. Excellent bit of hardware that you will go a long way to better. ...I've just got this scanner and I'm extremely pleased with my new toy. I chose this model as it was in the right price range and had the specification I wanted, oh and it's also one of those teeny sexy ones! After shopping around online and offline I found that the model was hard to get and the best price was at PC World (£145). ...I have been using this flat-bed scanner for about 18 months with no complaints. It was my first experience of a USB connection, and installation went like a dream. It is a compact design, unlike some of the really cheap ones, although it would be difficult to get any smaller than the latest Canon Canoscan range without your A4 sheet sticking out the sides! I'm never really that worried about the actual dpi figures quoted by manufacturers, since a high degree of detail is wasted if you then intend to make the file into a jpeg or other compact file format. Also, your printer's dpi figures can be the governing factor on any copies made. The HP 4100c has easy to use HP software, which allows for trial scans followed by full definition ones if you like what you see.
