One of the few books & films to ever move me to tears every time I read it or see it again. Not your soppy look at rabbit life through a child's eyes but the often sadly brutal reality of life for wild rabbits out there in the countryside. A significant point for me is the effect that we humans have, by the things we do with out thought of there effect, on the wildlife of a country. For me another sad point was the way farmers were innocently bribing the rabbits with food so that the shooting/hunting classes in countries could get there kill. How ever a book I would highly reccomend to others, no matter what age & it was partly the memories that this book rekindled that encouraged me to invest in two beautiful rabbits who are family pets.
