The Free Internet, Don't Do It

Advantages: small price - £99 a year, good technical support
Disadvantages: constant engaged tones, small cut off times, etc.

UPDATE 26/7/2002 - When visiting TFI's website today, I've noticed that their service has been offline for over a month. They are in dispute with their telecoms provider (NTL) and it's looking as if it could be going to court. All I can say is, stay well ...

I have to change my ISP

Advantages: Low cost - high service
Disadvantages: IT DOESN'T WORK WITH A CABLE PHONE

I have to confess that, apart from an occasional problem we have been quite satisfied with the service provided by The Free Internet so it is with a slight regret that we have been forced to change provider. Hopefully our new provider will be even better ...

Disadvantages: 1 hour cut off, unreliable, £1/min support line

8 33 per month for 24 7 on TFI

Advantages: Cheaper than most 24/7 providers. Reliable. 56K modem access throughout UK
Disadvantages: One hour limit per session. Tag line on your e-mails. You must buy one year in advance. Not for commercial use.
