Tommy can you see me?
Review of Creative WebCam Web camera by
tazorii
Advantages: Cheap, user friendly web cam
Disadvantages: no longer supported by Creative
The Creative Web cam.
I was truly amazed when I found out that 'mini-spy' cameras were available for the general public. I don't recall when I first heard about them but I was aware that they were about.
I was more aware that Porn sites used them. This way people could have a (pixel 'ly') look at some Russian blonde play with herself in front of a web cam (at great cost). Probably not the best reference I could give but this is, as far as I am ... ...use (honest). I chose the Creative web cam because it is a Creative product (no pun). Creative really are the best products you can buy quality wise and they are always very well priced. Neat packaging with all the relevant details on the box, such as recommended specs. This web cam came out for Windows 98. At the time it required very little in the way of performance and was of course USB. The installation, like most USB products is very simple. ...

A must-have for every gadget lover.
Review of Creative WebCam Live! Motion by
jasonzoujia
Advantages: A beautifully designed gadget with lots of features.
Disadvantages: Picture quality can be improved, lack of a snapshot button on top.
The Creative WebCam Live! Motion comes in two colours. A dark silver version and a white version. With its cute shape, it will surely match any of your existing PCs. Its "legs" are smartly designed so that the webcam can firmly stand on both flat surface and the top of your LCD screen. It can also sit on top of a laptop screen, but I would recommend laptop users to go for the similar Creative WebCam Notebook Ultra which is dedicatedly designed for ... ...a silver panel with a Creative logo surrounded by a stylish blue LED backlight. The "eye" (lens) of the webcam sit right in the centre of the "head", protected by a transparent plastic cover. Through this cover, you can see the lens and motor fitted on a circuit board. What make it so special is don't forget when you are looking at the lens, it is looking at you too. The lens can follow your face up and down with a range of 105 degrees.
The installation ...

Creative Labs WebCam 5
Review of Creative Video Blaster WebCam 5 by
ilaskey
Advantages: Good low light performance, cheap
Disadvantages: No built in microphone
...so ended up with a Creative Labs WebCam 5. Creative Labs' WebCam 5 promised improved low light performance but given its low price point, I wasn't expecting too much. As it turns out I was pleasantly surprised. Installation
Due to the low price the WebCam 5 is a fairly minimalist affair. The box contains the camera with a captive USB lead and the software CD. Being a USB device, the drivers and software need to be installed first before plugging ... ...the Creative Video Blaster WebCam Control which allows you to set up the camera settings to suit your environment. The software is quite flexible here with lots to twiddle including various white balance settings, resolutions, frame rates, colour models and so on. The defaults were fine for me though.
Windows immediately recognised the camera which draws its power from the PC and upon firing up the software I was treated(?) to the image of myself ...

beware, not the simple all-in-one cam
Review of Creative Video Blaster WebCam Go Plus by
robbiee
Advantages: single camera for at pc and anywhere use
Disadvantages: unstable, crashes and hangs pc
...the latest drivers from the creative website, but this still didnt fix the problem and support was basic to put it mildly.
What seemed a great idea, a webcam that works as a camera on the go, didnt materialise from Creative.
Picture quality very poor, tricky to use and UNSTABLE on my pc are warnings against this. Other ideas:
Probably wiser to stick to 2 separate cams, a webcam and a portable digital camera or look at other products. Good luck! ...
