My Experience -------------------- I have long been a lover of Porridge ever since I was a child staying with my Grandparents over the summer and winter holidays, every morning especially on those cold winter mornings I would sit at the breakfast table in the conservatory and Nan would bring me in a steaming bowl of Porridge not the traditional way with salt but with bags of sugar lol. As I have got older and eventually the visits to my Grandparents stopped I have stopped eating it until that is the other day when I noticed some in Tesco on special offer. The difference was that my Nan used to have a huge sack of Porridge where as the ones I had seen were in different flavors and in five individual sachets. I opted for the plain extra thick Porridge and a packet of Apple and Raisin Porridge.
The next morning me and my wife thought we would give it a try I had the Apple and Raisin and my wife the extra thick. Preparing it was easy just empty the sachet into a bowl and add 150 ml of cold milk. Nuke in the microwave for 2 minutes and there you have it a perfect textured porridge the only down side is one sachet is not quiet enough for the bigger eater. I must say if I was to compare these from Weetabix and the old Porridge my Nan used to make then Nan wins hands down well she is my Nan but overall these are lovely and now the kid's have tried them they are addicted to. At only £0.54p per pack of five on offer I have since gone back and stocked up and have got a couple of each flavor. Having now tried all the flavors I must say that the plain one is the best but the kid's really like the honey and apple and raspberry ones.
Ingredients --------------- Wholegrain Rolled Oats (92%) (Good For All Of Us) Oat Bran (4%) (Good For All Of Us) Calcium Vitamin C Vitamin E Niacin, Iron Vitamin B6 Pantothenic Acid (B5) Riboflavin (B2) Thiamin (B1) Folic Acid (Ideal for Expectant Mothers) Vitamin B12.
Suitability ------------- These are suitable for Vegetarians but would not be suitable for Vegan's or Kosher. I have included the above information so as you can be warned if you have any allergies or have to avoid certain ingredients, on the whole though these are great for you especially as they have no added salt.
Warning ------------ I would not feed to very young children as there can be rather large oat's and pieces of fruit which could cause a choking hazard. Also when this first comes out of the microwave it is literally boiling hot so allow to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing don't worry it will still be steaming. I have found it's a real hit in my house but have to watch the little ones while they are eating.
Price ------- At the moment they are £0.54p for a packet of five sachets in Tesco and this is a special offer I fully expect them to go up to £0.99 a packet before long if not more so stock up like I have before they up the price. They are excellent value for money at the moment working out at just £0.10.8p per sachet (Per serving).
Nutritional Information ----------------------------- I feel that I should add all the nutritional information as a lot of people in the past on reviews have requested it as some people will make a decision based on a products fat content etc so below is the said information.

Vitamins + Minerals -------------------------- There are many of us like myself who keep an eye on getting the right amount of minerals and vitamins in their system each day and Weetabix have added vitamins and minerals to the Oats to make this an even more healthy breakfast for us to eat these are the added vitamins and minerals which make up approximately 35% of the daily recommended levels for us to have.

Overall Opinion --------------------- I would recommend these cereals to anyone they are great for breakfast as they seem to give me energy for most of the day and once I have had a bowl don't feel like eating for hours after. The flavored ones I must say are more aimed at children as they can be very sweet so I avoid these ones and stick to the plain version as per review. As I have said at the moment they are a great value price and now is the time to check them out as they have a very long life span so you can fill your cupboard as I have going back today to stock up with more. I have now found a cereal that is not only really good for you but cheap and quick as well as very tasty. Nan if you ever happen to read this they are not a scratch on your lovely bowls of porridge though lol.
