As a kid I was more a fan of Cornflakes and rarely touched Weetabix purely as a matter of taste but as you get older you begin to educate yourself more about nutrition (the older you get, the more... more

5 Stars Simple and Satisfying Cereal! Review with images 25/11/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Variable, delicious, suits all

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

It can be hard to find a breakfast cereal that is suited to the whole family, which can cause great problems for the morning meal! Though, with close inspection, Weetabix seems to tick all the right boxes… *****Brief History***** It was two South Africans who introduced the Weetabix products to us in the UK all those years ago in 1932! From then, not only have we as a nation enjoyed the glorious brand, but it had also marketed throughout the US and Canada too, and is now available in over eighty countries worldwide! And they do not only provide us with one type of cereal, but offer a wide ... more

5 Stars He's had his Weetabix! Review with images 07/09/2012
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages A good and healthyb low fat alternative.

Disadvantages Disadvantages can taste bland on their own.

Weetabix Original I am going to review regular Weetabix as the review title suggests, although the lead picture shows the organic variety. Weetabix is a cereal that I have eaten more as an adult than as a child. This is probably due to the appeal health-wise to an adult and the apparent lack of anything but a dull dry brick for a child. As a teenager I remember the adverts that Weetabix put in place as a promotional kick, we all remember the ‘He’s had his Weetabix’ slogan from them. I’m in my mid-forties; I’m actually forty-five next month and have had a torrid time health-wise over the last ... more

Advantages Advantages Tasty and filling start to the day.

Disadvantages Disadvantages if you like it sweet you need sugar.

I have eating Weetabix as my breakfast cereal for years, longer than I car to remember. They are not only very filling but also full of good nutrition. These were never all that appealing as a child and they had to be soaked in sugar and milk, for them to have a nice taste. Now I am older I can now eat them without sugar and they taste just fine. PACKAGING & CEREALS When you first see the weetabix cereals they look very bland and un interesting. They are brown in colour and consists or lots of little packed oaty bits. All of the oats and goodness are packed together in to a shape that looks ... more

Advantages Advantages Delicious yet healthy, widely available

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bloating, addictive taste, not the most appealing to children

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! How many times have we heard that. Alot. In my household espescially, breakfast is made a great deal out of, and not one of us are allowed to leave the house without breakfast. At the present moment, I am on a weight gain diet, and so my breakfast is always huge. I have the "pleasure" of tucking into a bowl of cereal, 2 bits of toast (or a croissant), and a banana. I normally opt for branflakes as I find they are not as filling as other cereals and although I always feel extremely full and bloated after breakfast, it isn't as bad as some such as ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

On first seeing Weetabix you could easily be forgiven for thinking it boring, and I suppose if you are simply going on appearance you'd probably be correct. It hasn't got that shiny bright look of something like Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, it doesn't look anywhere near as edible. In fact on first looks it does seem to have a lot going for it at all. The box looks the most exciting part of the product being a bright yellow thing almost a foot high a 9 inches wide. Huge letters spell out the word WEETABIX and thats about as good as it gets from an observers point of view. Just goes to show you how ... more
