Ok - I know what you're thinking IF youread my last review of Weightwatcher's food: Ocean pie. Why is she doing this? Did she not suffer enough? Why is she laying down her life so that Ciao members may be slightly better informed about a crap range of foods? Having (more or less) recovered from the previous traumatic experience (trained counsellors were needed) it occurs to me that the Ocean pie was bought as part of a 3 meals for £3 deal at Asda. ... ...the freezer somewhere....." Well one of them was "Chicken curry", so, here goes.....
Ok, boring stuff first.
Price: officially £1.49, though mine cost me £1 as part of aforementioned deal.

Strong birds! Review ofWeight Watchers from Heinz Chicken Curryby
Amy69
...by the majority of the Weight Watchers products I have tried to date, I decided to give the Chicken Curry option a go when I stumbled across it in the 'healthy' freezer section at Asda. It was quite a risk to take; curry either agrees with me or it doesn't. I was not sure how this Heinz product was going to react with me. I was hoping that it would go down well, and would provide me with a delicious meal.
Before I cooked the meal, I studied the ... ...Nutrition
Being a Weight Watchers product, I had expected the nutritional values to be quite low, and I was right! Compared to that of normal curry meals, they are tiny!

My bargain snack Review ofWeight Watchers from Heinz Chicken Curryby
ang_2906
Advantages: nice tasting, cheap Disadvantages: not big enough
...supermarket aisles I spotted the Weight Watchers range on special offer at £1 per ready meal and dessert.
Choosing a chicken curry, purely because it looked nice on the outside of the packet, I chucked it into my basket along with a few other bits.
As I mentioned the meal looked very nice on the outside of the packaging, which consists of a basic cardboard tray with a cardboard lid. Its main feature is a large picture of the curry surrounded with ... ...of you who understand the weight watchers point system. There are also only 296 calories and less than 2% fat included in this meal.
I was impressed just by reading how low the calories were. Surely it couldn't be very tasty or filling for this could it?
I opened the box by following the instructions printed on the side. It states to either cook in a conventional oven for 45 minutes or you can microwave in just under 10 minutes. I chose the microwave ...

Hot and steamy Review ofWeight Watchers from Heinz Chicken Curryby

...meal comes in the regular Weight Watchers from Heinz purple box, but instead of the normal tray inside, the food is directly in the box. It shows a picture of a creamy yellow curry with chunks of chicken surrounded by fluffy white rice. The box details the recommended daily fat and calorie amounts for men and women. The sell by date on mine is February 2003, so it can be frozen for 12 months. Rating: excellent

A curry needs oomph. Review ofWeight Watchers from Heinz Chicken Curryby
lorrmid
Advantages: Easy to cook and low in fat. Disadvantages: Bland taste, not very enjoyable.
...this little beauty - Heinz Weight Watchers Chicken Curry and Rice. I love curry anyway and could I really go wrong with a well-known name like Heinz? - well read on. The pack itself which is 320g cost £1.49 from Tesco, so reasonably priced and I would say on a par with other similar type meals. It is presented in a cardboard carton - predominantly purple with Weight Watchers from Heinz highlighted in the top left hand corner. It shows a plate of ... ...sprig of parsley. The picture does, in fact make the product look very tasty with meaty chunks of chicken and a golden curry sauce. The carton has a peel off lid and you just have to raise a corner of this prior to cooking in the microwave. Warning!! Take care when you remove the carton from the microwave as the heat has softened the cardboard and for the first couple of minutes it is very floppy.
It is easily cooked in the microwave for 12 minutes ...
