“A Lazy Chicken Curry”

published 03/08/2010

Tasty, Cheap, Easy

Not as healthy as you would think.

Yes, here I am again with another Weight Watchers ready made meal (I don’t live on these I promise!) I have to admit that I do like some of their ready meals and normally have one or two in the freezer just in case, I don’t fancy cooking or I’m just cooking for myself. Weight Watchers Chicken...

Good

It's cheap

It's small

Ok - I know what you're thinking IF youread my last review of Weightwatcher's food: Ocean pie. Why is she doing this? Did she not suffer enough? Why is she laying down her life so that Ciao members may be slightly better informed about a crap range of foods? Having (more or less) recovered from...

“Strong birds!”

published 01/02/2008

strong aroma, delicious taste, healthy

unusual texture

Having been satisfied by the majority of the Weight Watchers products I have tried to date, I decided to give the Chicken Curry option a go when I stumbled across it in the 'healthy' freezer section at Asda. It was quite a risk to take; curry either agrees with me or it doesn't. I was not sure...

“Hot and steamy”

Cooks well, low calorie, pleasant taste.

Strong curry powder flavour

The fifth in my series of opinions on ready made diet meals, for the calorie counter, the impatient person and the lazy lout. I am using the following rating system: excellent, good, average, not so good and bad •• The Packaging •• This frozen meal comes in the regular...

“My bargain snack”

published 03/10/2006

nice tasting, cheap

not big enough

Seeing as I drew the short straw tonight and had to work a late shift at work, I needed something quick and easy I could have at work without starvation hanging over me. Browsing the supermarket aisles I spotted the Weight Watchers range on special offer at £1 per ready meal and dessert. Choosing...

“CURRY IN A HURRY”

published 03/01/2012

tastes nice, won't make you fat

could of had vegetables in the sauce

I previously wrote a review about the sweet chilli chicken curry from the Weight Watchers range and brought this chicken curry at the same time. These ready meals are mostly used for during the week when my busy lifestyle makes me too tired to cook anything! I did used to buy the standard ready...

“Low Calorie Curry”

published 05/08/2012

Quck, easy, low calorie, nice rice

Not much chicken, sauce lacks flavour of spices

I do not buy ready meals on a regular basis but do like to have a couple in the freezer for a quick meal in hurry or if I find myself alone for dinner. Whilst shopping in Iceland recently I noticed that the frozen Weight Watchers ready meals from Heinz were on a special offer so thought a I could...

Good

Good portion size, cheap to buy and healthy

Bit mild for me

Near me I live close to a really good frozen food centre. I eat a lot of ready meals living alone and the one brand I turn to when I'm trying to eat a little healthier is Weightwatchers because I followed the plan a few years ago and I can look at the points listed on a meal and know instantly...

Satisfactory

quick and easy

not filling or flavoursome

I have followed the weight watchers point system for many years now and it is an extremely effective weight loss programme. It calculates the calories and saturated fat in food products, transferring them into different point values. In accordance to your weight and level of activity in your...

Easy way to satisfy cravings!

Takes nearly 10 mins to cook, small portion

I feel absolutely qualified to write my review on this having just eaten one for my dinner (well lunch, I get told off for calling it that by my friends from down south!) so here we go… Having decided that my new year's resolution was to feel comfortable in a bikini by May, Weight Watchers...

“A curry needs oomph.”

published 09/06/2003

Easy to cook and low in fat.

Bland taste, not very enjoyable.

After having pigged out the last few days on fatty, high calorie foods (because I was feeling sorry for myself) I decided it was time to take the bull by the horns and start eating healthily again. My main meals have been my downfall - e.g. faggots (see previous op) but all that was about to...

I have tried a number of weight watchers (from Heinz) frozen meals over the last few years, in an attempt to lose a few pounds (of weight), by eating smaller portions of food, which are reasonably low calorie, but I have to admit to being dissapointed by most of them. The beauty of these meals is...

I have read some reviews on this meal and must say that yes it is a small portion, but they only reason for this is its for people that want to loose weight! a big portion would be silly! I have been doing weight watchers for almost a month and have to to say this, along with the chicken tikka...

After knowing about them for quite a while and the different ranges i saw the chicken curry on offer even though i was goin to buy 1 anyway farmfoods 2 for 2 pounds bargain they taste great with just enough spice as good as a take-away and the price is great aswell they retail at 1.50 each but thats cheap becase in curry shops i have spent 6.00 on a currys just for myself and thats normal prices availible in all good supermarkets mostly everwere really even saw them in netto. also only 3.8g fat per 320g meal so you can have a pitta bread with it with ease.
