Have you ever had days when all you can think of is food. No sooner have you finished breakfast and you are wondering what to have for lunch then tea, supper etc. I had that many that in the end I had to join Weight Watchers

After losing a bit of weight I noticed that I seemed to be stuck, nothing at all could shift the pounds so I needed some inspiration. That is when I bought the Weight Watchers Magazine.

THE MAG ITSELF

The magazine I bought was the June issue. The price was £2.10, which is about average for a diet magazine. And had 115 pages to read. What I liked about the cover was it had a nice glossy look to it with plenty of inspirational articles to help me in my quest for weight loss.

Success Stories ****
Inside the magazine was not a disappointment, it featured several success stories (25 pages altogether) and the interesting thing was that they featured men and women and give their hints and tips on how they achieved their loss. I really like the before and after photos some of them were amazing.

Recipes *****
There were many articles on recipes; each recipe had both a picture and the number of points that it contained which I found very helpful. The recipes were based on everyday meals but with the fat content lowered and were easy to follow. There was even an interview with Ainsley Harriott entitled “ tickle your taste buds “ which was an entertaining read.

Fashion *****
There wasn’t a great deal of fashion articles but the few pages showed how to dress to flatter and featured clothes from well known high streets and catalogues, and they were all within reasonable price ranges that wouldn’t break the bank.

Health and Beauty *****
The articles on health and beauty were barely covered but did contain articles entitled your looks (looking gorgeous)
Your health (feeling good)
Your life (Perfect days)
Bonus dance plan (dance your way to fitness) showing how many points per half hour you earn by dancing

The magazine also covered the usual magazine topics such as “your stars”, quick quiz, and free gifts and prizes. It didn’t have a great deal of adverts but they where usually ones along the healthy eating range as you would expect and quite often had money off coupons to use against the products.

I have bought the magazine since June even though I no longer go to Weight Watchers and I also keep the back issues for the recipes and articles.
