Welcome Financial Services . On my own Families personnel experience, I just cant bring myself to give Welcome Finance a good rating. 8 years ago now, we took out a personnel loan with them, and also financed the purchase of a second hand car through them as well. i made an online enquiry regarding an unsecured personal loan to welcome finance. an enquiry about their apr on atypical loan. not an actual application. they started to take my details and then i stopped them mid conversation to ask if the were conducting a credit check, and that i was concerned about a record of credit checks on my file. i also mentioned to them their advert i was replying to stated "no credit checks would be made". the said the dont do that and the "enquiry " continued despite double checking again that no credit checks would be made. they then said they would pass me on to ... more

I contacted welcome loans with a view to obtaining a loan. Their terms and conditions are that if no loan is taken after three months the fee will be refunded. I paid £79.99. three months on I was not offered a loan for the amount I had wanted so closed the application. I emailed welcome loans and they said that a refund would be given. Three months on no refund had appeared on my statement so I contacted them again and they said they did not know why I had not been refunded my fee and will enquire. My own personal experience with Welcome Finance was horrible. I used them because I was new to the UK and just had no credit, not bad credit. I took out a loan with them for £2000 in June of 2007. After being made to take the payment protection and told I could just take it off if I didn't want it later. The interest on the loan was something astronomical like 54%. I ended up out of employment, and then my 15yr old died which left me unable to even think. I had been trying to work with Welcome by offering token payments, but all such offers were refused. i regretted taken out a 2nd welcome finace loan over one year ago.first,i took out a loan and was paying the money monthly.after about one year,i applied for another loan and they paid off the first one,and gave me a second loan.that was the day i destroyed myself and opened my life to sharks who nearly killed me.At this point,i had not known that i had no more insurance incase i was ill or out of work.i believe the insurance was still there as i was offered that initially.unfortunately for me,i lost my job last august an d then stated my nightmare with welcome finance.I got harassment calls ... more
