Advantages: too many to mention Disadvantages: none
I first tried Arnica gel after hearing about an Irish racehorse trainer whose favourite horse had badly sprained a leg
The injury was so disabling that the stable thought it best to put the horse down , but the trainer begged to be allowed a little time to try and save it .
He applied pure Arnica to the leg three or four times a day , afterwards binding it to keep the gel in place , and after only a week or so the horse was back to gentle exercise
Six months later it won the Derby .
I have seen the little tubes of Arnica cream in health shops , but if you read the label , the Arnica only makes up a tiny 9 per cent ( in the best version ) of the product , meaning that 91 per cent of what you are applying is just a carrier cream
And at around £8 for a little 50ml tube , thats expensive carrier cream !
So , I looked around ...

Advantages: easily available in chemists, all natural products Disadvantages: I belive that all remedies should only be used on the advice of a pharmacist or homeopathist
I was introduced to the wonders of arnica tablets after I gave birth to my son 4 years ago. It is used internally for shock and externally in the form of a cream for bruising and sprains. Dental treatment is also a good time to use arnica for the soreness on the gums.
It is said to be particularly useful for the type of shock experienced after a sudden bereavement. The dosage for this would be 30c every hour up to 10 doses and carry on this for a good week.
For those who don't know, the number and c represents the potency. If a potency is 30c, then it means it has been diluted 30 times and is strong. 3c means it has been diluted 3 times and is the weakest potency used. I know it is strange, but the more dilute the remedy, the higher the potency.
The common name for arnica is mountain tobacco and is found growing in ...

Advantages: pump action bottles so no having to unscrew caps if you have sore hands and fingers, excellant success rate, easy to apply and soaks in straight away. other products can be used to compliment the arnica gel itself Disadvantages: doesn't work for everyone, stocks do sell out quickly.
I am a real believer in this product as I have seen the effects it has had on my mum and dads lives.
My mother suffers with really bad arthritis and has been bed ridden on a number of occasions because of it and since using arnica gel she has found that it really has helped her and she has spent less time in bed because of this.
My father is a college lecturer and spends long periods of time standing and finds that his feet and ankle swell because of this, he now comes home and uses the arnica gel so easing his swelling.
He has also used the arnica bath soak and found this as a complimentary to go with the arnica gel itself.
I have used the leg soothing gel which has arnica and camomile in and found that it eased my sore back and legs from gardening the other day.
The arnica gel seems to work out more economically than any ...
