The lotion itself is extremely light and highly absorbent, with a very subtle and pleasant fragrance. When I say it is light - it can almost be described as a 'milk' - when the bottle is partially full and you shake it - it does sound and feel a little 'liquidy'. However, once applied to my skin it really does moisturize it, without leaving any greasy residue.
This is a lotion that can be used by everyone! At the website I found out that the product has been 'dermatologically-tested not just on healthy skin, but also on easily-irritated skin that is prone to dermatitis and eczema. This means the range is also ideal for older children or adults who have to take special care of their skin.'
It comes in a 200ml bottle at a cost of £6.95 and can be purchased at Waitrose, Planet Organic, Whole Foods or online at: http://www.weleda.co.uk
I really love the Weleda products that I have used (I also wrote a reveiw on Weleda's 'Skin Food' which I always have a tube of). This is a really great brand that has been around since the 1920s and although it was started in Switzerland, it can be found all over the world, from Japan to Russia, Brazil, New Zealand and Turkey among many others.
I haven't tried any of the shampoos or complimentary medicines or dental healthcare products yet, but certainly will do. If you are interested in further information you can go to: http://www.weleda.co.uk Weleda also has a special site for their Baby range: http://www.weledababy.com
I just want to end on a quote from the Weleda website which really sums up their values and purpose as a company:
Our aim is to help everyone, old and young, to restore health and maintain wellbeing. We are committed to doing so naturally, ethically, safely, without animal experimentation and without damaging the environment. This is not a marketing ploy but a way of life and is deeply rooted in all aspects of our business. These beliefs affect every decision we make at Weleda.
