I love 'Skin Food' which literally is what it says. This cream repairs dry and rough skin anywhere on the face or body. It has a great citrus smell and is so rich and nourishing. It can be used anywhere on the body and face where you have dry or rough patches. I use it primarily as a hand cream and often put it on my lips when they get dry. I also love to use it on my feet after a bath. It heals, moisturizes, protects!
This is a natural product with extracts of chamomile, calendula wild pansy and a blend of enriching oils and waxes. The Weleda website explains it best: 'Even before the addition of the plant extracts and essential oils the base itself is food for dry skin. Lanolin, Almond oil and Peanut oil are three of the main ingredients of the base. Lanolin, chemically, is almost identical to sebum, the natural oil produced by the skin. It is therefore an ideal substance to 'feed' to dry skin. Both Almond and Peanut oil soften and soothe the skin and also assist in the penetration of other soothing, rejuvenating ingredients.'
It is well priced at under £6 and I love the fact that all the ingredients are natural and actually good for you. Great product.
and pleasant fragrance. When I say it is light - it can almost be described as a 'milk' - when the bottle is partially full and you shake it - it does sound and feel a little 'liquidy'. However, once applied to my skin it really does moisturize it, without leaving any greasy residue.
This is a lotion that can be used by everyone! At the website I found out that the product has been 'dermatologically-tested not just on healthy skin, but also on easily-irritated skin that is prone to dermatitis and eczema. This means the range is also ideal for older children or adults who have to take special care of their skin.'
It comes in a 200ml bottle at a cost of £6.95 and can be purchased at Waitrose, Planet Organic, Whole Foods or online at: http://www.weleda.co.uk
