I have used Aveda Scalp Benefits BalancingShampoo for nearly 3 years now and has proved for me to be a one of the best hair care products that I have ever tried.
For years I had a flake problem and not of the Cadbury's kind. It was obvious from an early age that it wasn't dandruff (mainly by the way I ended up with a red raw scalp from scratching my head after I used anti dandruff shampoos) and eventually I was told I had Psoriasis (but not too bad according to the doctor - try telling me that at 3am when I'm tearing my hair out scratching it I thought). His advice was for prescribed medicated shampoo which did wonders for my scalp but ruined my hair leaving it dull and straw like. How I found out about the product?
I brought this shampoo after reading a glowing review of it here on Ciao. I was looking for a shampoo, which would care for my hair AND my scalp. Previously I'd always found that I could either have one or the other - products that left my scalp feeling great always seemed to leave my hair like straw and the shampoo I brought from my hairdresser, which smelt like caramel and left my hair so very soft, irritated my scalp - what was a girl to choose?

Advantages: Cleans and conditions hair fantastically. Smells gorgeous. Made from natural ingredients. Disadvantages: Slightly more pricey than some other brands (but worth it)
After years of searching for a product which would properly clean my very oily hair I was recommended this product by my local Aveda retailer. It is fantastic! After just one wash three people commented on how shiny my hair was and I have had nothing but compliments ever since! After using this product in combination with the Scalp Benefits Conditioner for over a year my hair is in great condition even though I blow dry and straighten (using super hot GHD straighteners) every day! And where I was having to wash my hair every morning it now lasts a couple of days before it needs to be washed again. The product is all natural and has a gorgeous dandilion and burdock smell.
