Advantages: 3 different curl types Disadvantages: tricky for extra long hair....
...originally priced at £16.99, i thought these were a steal at £8.49 in the argos sale,
they come boxed all cable tied up (too many cable ties),
and with instructions for use, care and storage.
the three different tongs are:-
16mm tong with a spiral twist of metal aroung the length of the tong that teases the hair into shape and trains it to go round the tong in a way that is best to get a perfect curl.
19mm this tong gives you a really great looking medium sized curl thats somewhere beween a 'ringlet' and a wave.its harder to use if you've got long hair like i have , because it means you have to do half of your hair section and then start again on the next half (top to bottom that is)

Advantages: Cheap, curls like most other tongs, small & sleek design, on/off switch Disadvantages: Hair escapes from tong's grip, non-ceramic tong, no extra features

Advantages: Brilliant curls for under £15.00. Disadvantages: Take 10 minutes to heat up.
...heavy, and the curl release can be operated with the thumb whilst in the one hand. The tongs are quite large, but quite lightweight considering their size. I would not say the length of the tongs is a hindrance, and I find them easy to manage whilst styling the hair. The barrel of the tongs is a hot pink and the plates are made from a ceramic material, which is gentler on the hair and will protect it from heat damage and splitting. The barrel is the part of the styler that will do the curling effect on your hair and it has grey raised plastic guides spiralling up and around the length of the styler. This is to ensure that each strand of hair will be captured around this spiral coil, and will allow for evenly sized curls or ringlets.
