...a couple of days were Wella SP 1.2 Repair Shampoo and Wella SP 3.2 Repair Mask and the one I will review first is the shampoo.
The most striking thing about the packaging is that is it square - it stands about 15cm tall and is about 4cm wide by 4cm deep and it looks really classy! The whole thing is plain cream so no jazzy colours here. The Wella logo appears in black at the top then 'SP Salon Professional Repair Shampoo' in gold letters ... ...also advised to then use Wella Sp Repair Mask which is what I did.
Anyway I got into the shower and wet my hair. I got hold of the shampoo and, with a bit of difficulty, I managed to squeeze some out onto my hand. It is a rich thick consistency and is a pearlescent creamy colour. The fragrance was amazing! It smells gorgeous - but I'm afraid I can't describe it very well. I am a member of the lightspeed consumer panel - I have written a review about the site if you are interested - and do surveys on lots of different products and services.
A few weeks ago I did a survey about shampoo and conditioner and was asked at the end of it whether they could send me a free sample of some new products and then canvass my opinion once I had tried them.
Could they? I should think so! Free goodies - count me in!

The most striking thing about the packaging is that is it square - it stands about 15cm tall and is about 4cm wide by 4cm deep and it looks really classy! The whole thing is plain cream so no jazzy colours here. The Wella logo appears in black at the top then 'SP Salon Professional Repair Shampoo' in gold letters and then 'for damaged hair' again in black. At the bottom there are the numbers 1.2 and from what I can see each product bears a different number. I haven't worked out what they represent yet though!
So you can see that this is going to look seriously smart on your bathroom shelf.
There is a disc set into the top of the lid of the container and by pressing one side of this the other side of lifts slightly revealing the hole where the shampoo is dispensed. Now for the one slight problem - it's a devil to squeeze a square container like this! If you imagine an ordinary oval shaped shampoo bottle it's easy enough to squeeze the sides together to get the shampoo out - not so with this one I'm afraid. Still I suppose it saved me using too much!
To find the instructions for use you have to peel back the label found on the reverse of the container to reveal the writing underneath. Mind you it's not going to be rocket science now is it? You just have to put the shampoo onto your wet hair, massage it in and rinse it out thoroughly. You are also advised to then use Wella Sp Repair Mask which is what I did.

It is a rich thick consistency and is a pearlescent creamy colour. The fragrance was amazing! It smells gorgeous - but I'm afraid I can't describe it very well. It is flowery but not too sweet; in fact it reminded me of that smell you get in the hairdressers. Anyway suffice it to say it was lovely.
As I massaged it into my hair it lathered very well although, as I have said in previous reviews, living as we do on the edge of Snowdonia with very soft water most of these sorts of products lather up well here.
The lather was rich and thick and the lovely smell seemed to fill the bathroom. I massaged it well into my scalp and rinsed it off. I did notice how nice it felt on my hair. This is worthy of comment as I don't normally notice this with my usual shampoos, but with this one it really did feel nice and soft even there soaking wet in the shower.
I then used the repair mask as instructed but that will come in a later review.
I towel dried my hair and then blow dried it in my usual way. My hair felt wonderful - it was really soft but still manageable. The softness lasted too. The shampoo is supposed to be a daily repair treatment but I don't think washing my hair every day does it any good so I continued to wash mine every few days us normal. The softness lasted between shampoos and even hubby commented on how nice it looked, felt and smelled!
I had never seen this shampoo before I received this sample so I had to look on the Internet to find out how much it costs and it isn't cheap. The 250ml that I have would cost me about £8 in the shops which is more than I would normally pay for shampoo. Having said that I was so impressed with this product that I may well buy a replacement when I have finished this one!
Advantages: Makes my hair look, fell and smell lovely Disadvantages: Expensive

After finishing a recent survey about which shampoo and conditioner I used I was asked at the end of it whether they could send me a free sample of some new products. The idea was that I would try the products and then they would ask me to complete a second survey to give my opinion.
Could they indeed? I should think so! If it's free count me in, especially these days!
